Ding dong. You rang the bell as you nervously paced back and forth, waiting for somebody to let you in.

You were currently at the Todoroki household. The door swung open. "Oh! Y/N, isnt it?" You heard Fuyumi chirp when she saw you. You greeted her warmly.

"You must be here to see Shoto! You're staying for dinner today! I'm making soba!" She declared.

"That's alright."
"No. I insist! You're staying. Hold on. Let me get Shoto. Shoto! He must b-"

"Y/N?" You heard a voice. It was Shoto. "What are you doing here?"

"I actually didn't come to see him...." You said.
"Oh! Then who-"

"-SHOTOOO!" An all too familiar voice boomed, startling all three of you.

It sent shivers down your spine. You wanted to run as far away as you possibly could and jump into a ditch and never come back out. But you knew you couldn't.

"Y/NNN!" He greeted you in a somewhat similar fashion. "....Good afterno-"
"Did I hear you right? You're not here to see Shoto?"
You nodddd. "I actually wanted to see you." You said.

His face lit up. "Oh, I knew this day would come!" He grinned. "Follow me!"

He led you into one of the rooms of his gorgeous almost-mansion-like house.

You took a seat. Dread was filling your gut. If you heard the word marriage exit his mouth, you swore you were going to cry.

"You've reconsidered my proposal for the marriage!" He was smiling ear to ear. "I'll set the date and-"
"NO ITS NOT ABOUT THAT AT ALL!" You quickly interrupted him.

Hia face fell. He frowned. "Oh.... Are you sure?" You frowned back at him.

"Okay." He sighed. "I get it. You can stop worrying. I'm not going to start berating you.....yet." he added softly. What the fuck did he mean yet?

"What did you want to ask me about?"

"It's about my mother."
His expression became solemn. He sighed. "I saw this coming...."
"I want to know everything about her. She worked with you in your agency, didn't she?"

He stared at your face. "The resemblance is uncanny..." He stared at your eyes for a few seconds too long. You raised an eyebrow. Did he know something more?

He sighed. "I would've told you long ago... I should've... I should've reached out to you years ago...."

What was he talking about? "There's no easy way to say this.... You'd better see for yourself.... I guess we can't hide this from you anymore. I wanted to wait some more but i suppose it's better this way." He said. "Follow me."

You walked behind him as he led you up the staircase. You climbed and climbed and made your way through the hallways for almost 10 minutes. Why was his house a freaking maze?

He finally came to a halt in front of a room. You were out of breath. He turned towards you. "What you are about to see....might come as a shock." He said.

"What?" You huffed. Did he have some kind of deadly weapon in there?

He slowly slid the door open. You looked into the room. Inside was a woman with her back turned towards you. She was gorgeous. She wore a beautiful kimono.

You walked inside. She snapped her neck in your direction. Her silky hair prettily framed her face in such a way that it perfectly highlighted her features. Her plump lips, her chiseled jaw, her button nose and her sleek eyes.....They were glassy and unfocused.

Endeavor nudged you towards her. "You have a visitor." He said. You took a seat next to her. "Who is it?" She felt around the table and grabbed your hand. You looked up at her and that's when you realised....she was blind.

She reached up to your face and felt around. Her finger trailed down to a small scar on your chin. The one you had received when you were a child and you had fallen off your bed.

"Y-Y/N...." She said lowly. You froze. You'd recognise that voice anywhere. But that was not possible... How could it be?

"Who...-" Suddenly the lady started bawling. She pulled you into a hug. "It's me Y/N! It really is me."

You pushed her away. You couldn't breathe. What kind of sick joke was this? "She is ex-pro hero Vortex. L/N Bianca. Your mother." Endeavor stated with a guilty expression.

Tears were welling in your eyes. "You're lying. I watched you die! Nico pushed the car off the cliff. You-you-"
"You didn't, Y/N." She said. "You didn't see anything. Because I'm right here."

You froze. Come to think of it, she was absolutely right. You had never actually seen her die. Stupor never made sure she was dead. ".....M-Mom?"

She nodded and you dove into her arms, sobbing. You couldn't describe the feeling. It truly felt like you were back home again. Like you were still a six year old child. The way she wrapped her arms around you was like nothing you'd ever felt in the past nine years.

You pulled away after a while. "Oh, Y/N!" She cried. "I'm so sorry! I missed you so much! I swear I never meant to leave you all alone!"
"Why did you do that to me? For almost ten years! You-"
"I didn't have a choice... It wasn't safe. Stupor was keeping tabs on Enji...... I'll explain everything."

You nodded. You could understand that. He wasn't your brother anymore. He was a cold, heartless monster that felt so empathy for anything. He was a true psychopath. You reached up to her face and traced the outline of her eyes with your fingers. You couldn't blame your mother for being terrified. But at the same time, you felt pain that it had to turn out this way.

"It's not completely gone." She said. "I can make out figures sometimes."
You smiled. You were just glad she was okay. "..... And Dad...?"

Her face fell. She shook her head. "I was able to escape because of my quirk but he was long gone. Enji was there at the scene. That's when I decided to retire and go into hiding. We decided to send you away. It was for your own safety, I promise. If Stupor found out, I don't know what he would do to you... He had tried to kill you that day, you know. But you were mostly fine." She chuckled through her tears.

"That stupid jacket you always insisted on wearing ended up saving your life. You were so brave that day..." She wiped a few of her tears away. "I'm so proud of you, Y/N."

You couldn't believe it. This was everything you could've asked for. She had been so close to you all along. You knew that Endeavor was connected to her somehow and you had never bothered to look into it, until now. You wanted to punch yourself in the face for that.

You spent the entire evening with her as you both ate soba with the Todoroki's. You had so much to tell her. 'Catching up' was an understatement.
