Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

7. Quirks

It was your second day at UA. You and Midoriya were having a discussion before class began.

"Tell me more about your quirk, Y/N. It has something to do with the wind, if I recall correctly? " He asked intently. "I can control elements of the weather." You replied. "I can basically just summon small clouds winds, sometimes small jolts or thunder, snow. It has its limitations tho-- Izuku, are you writing this down?"

"Hmm?" He said, not bothering to even look up from his notebook. "Oh yeah, i note down everybody's quirks."

"Speaking of which, when did you get your quirk, huh?"
"O-oh thats..." He trailed off.
"Whats your quirk anyway?"
"What? My quirk i-its j-"

"I AM COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON." A voice boomed. The door flung open and All Might walked in.

The entire classroom burst into chaos. "Woah it's All Might!" Mina exclaimed.
"He's really a teacher here!" Said another voice- Bakugou's new friend.

You were instructed to change into your hero costumes for hero training.

Your hero costume was simple. It was ebony, covering most of your body, leaving your palms exposed. You wore knee high rubber boots. There were two blue coloured diagonal lines running across your chest, forming a cross. You felt light and elegant in it.

"Your hero costume is perfect." Commented a girl with a high ponytail, who wore a red costume. "Thanks!" You replied. "Yours is not too bad either."

Her name was Yaoyorozu Momo. Her quirk was creation. Her quirk was great but what stood out to you was her intellectual ability.

A few others joined in the conversation, giving you an opportunity to socialise and get to know your classmates.

Uraraka was the girl from the day before who had scored the highest, beating you in the fitness test. She had a gravity quirk.

When you exited the girls' changing room, you looked around for Bakugou.

You spotted Midoriya. His hero costume uncannily resembled all might except it looked a lot like a bunny. He stifled a laugh ad he walked over to you.

"Y/N! Your hero costume looks a lot li-EEK-" A shiver ran through him as he felt Bakugou's glare on the two of you. He was staring daggers into Midoriya's soul when he noticed him talking to you.

He too made his way over. "Move out of the way, Deku!" He snarked, nudging him a bit. "S-s-sorry Kacchan!"

You looked at Bakugou's costume. It was black in colour. He had large grenades attatched to his hands. The costume was sleeveless and his back and shoulder muscles were clearly visible through the thin fabric. You stared a second too long. You quickly looked away. A black mask covered his face, and.... There was an orange cross on his chest. Just like the blue one on yours.

"What the heck? Did you copy my costume?" He accused. "I should be asking you that!" You retorted.

"Like I'd copy the hero costume of someone who's weaker than me."
"Quite plausible, considering you'd been stalking me for days."
His face paled. Gotcha. He tried to deny it, blushing profusely. "W-what? Me? No way! I would never."
"Thought I wouldn't notice, did you?"

Before he could say anything, All Might began announcing the pairing.

".....Bakugou Katsuki and Iida Tenya vs Midoriya Izuku and Uraraka Ochaco....."

Midoriya's face paled and he started quivering in fear when Bakugou glanced at him. "Prepare to lose, Deku!"

".....L/N Y/N and Kirishima Eijiro vs Todoroki Shoto and Shoji Mezo."

Mina walked up to you, giving you a sympathetic look. "What" you asked. "You're up against Todoroki."
"So?"
"He's Endeavor's son, the No.2 pro hero? He has two quirks!"
"Oh" you said, not really seeming to be bothered. Mina seemed astounded at your lack of concern.

Before you could say anything more, you were up. "All the best!" She called out.

You were playing the role of the villain. "Hey, you're the girl Bakugou's with." Said the boy named Kirishima. He was the red headed boy who was tagging alongside Bakugou the day before.

"W-what do you mean 'with'? We're not like- together or anything." You quickly rambled, blushing hard.

"Oh." He shrugged, "I just assumed you were." You cleared your throat. "Anyway, we need a game plan if we want to win against Todoroki."

The plan was simple. Kirishima would stay back, guarding the bomb, while you took Todoroki on, stalking and distracting him. And also, you were intrigued by Mina's words and wanted to see how strong he really was.

And so, the battle commenced.
