"Oh, you have to try this dress on, Y/N!" Mina exclaimed. You looked at the price tag and laughed bitterly.
Mina sighed and began trying to pick out another dress for you. "Ooh! That section seems nice!"
"Okay...."
She groaned. She had dragged you to the mall after hearing about your severe lack of clothing but you kept rejecting everything she picked.
"Come on! Your birthday's coming up! You need a dress. Plus....you get to make Bakugou jealous!" She giggled. "Oh I can't wait to see his face!"
Your heart throbbed a little just by the mention of his name.
Over the span of the past few days, you and Katsuki did everything in your powers to avoid each other like the plague. He was worse than scum to you. You could never forgive him.
Katsuki felt hurt and ashamed that he had been so brutally rejected even though he had so desperately begged for you like that the other night. He didn't care about his ego. You were much more important to him.
He had spent the entire night right outside your door, too. You had tossed a blanket over his body while he had been asleep out of courtesy. But you never spoke a word to him when he begged you to stay. He felt so embarrassed, he could never speak to you again.
You began following her to the next section but accidentally stepped on somebody's foot. "Oh! I'm so-....Y/N?"
You looked up at the man. "Inasa?"
You sat in the food court with Mina and Inasa, sipping coffee. Mina narrowed her eyes at him. "What were you doing in the ladies section Inasa?" She asked.
He blushed profusely. "Shh! Stop saying it so loudly!" He hissed. "... It's just that I-I like to use women's deodorant! It smells really sweet."
You choked on your coffee and Mina burst out laughing. You leaned close and sniffed him. He really did smell like flowers.
"Oh my god, Inasa! That's not even deodorant! It's woman's perfume!" You cried while trying to contain your laughter.
"Stop laughing!" He hid his face with hid cap. "I'm sorry- I'm sorry." You snorted.
"OH! OH I COMPLETELY FORGOT!" Mina exclaimed in alarm all of a sudden. "I was supposed to help Kirishima out with something! I have to go!"
"Mina-" you started but she was already gone. An awkward silence fell. You and Inasa were all alone.
Suddenly, Inasa stood up and rammed his head against the ground next to you, making you flinch.
"I'M VERY SORRY!" He declared loudly.
"Okay-No. Get up, Inasa!" You hissed. He was making a scene.
He stood up with a bleeding forehead. "What are you sorry for all of a sudden anyway?"
"Well, I was wondering why you would block my number. I assumed it was because i did something wrong." He said. You looked away embarrassed. After your meeting with Inasa, you didn't want to hear him say anything about your mother so you had blocked him. But you felt guilty now. He had been right all along.
"I'm really sorry, Inasa." You apologised. "I mean it. You did nothing wrong. You were absolutely right about everything. I was wrong to leave so abruptly and block you right after."
"It's alright." He gave you a huge grin. "Since we're talking about this, I realise I never did get to the point that day."
You stared at him. He was right. You had left before he could even finish talking that day.
He sighed. "Why didn't you listen to me back then, Y/N?" He shook his head. "I could have saved you."
"What?"
"I-I knew what was going to happen. I knew it. I could've saved you. But you didn't listen to me! Why didn't you listen?"
You stared at him, confused. "Wait. What are you talking about?"
"Shie Hassaikai. I knew they were after you. I tried to warn you that day but you left." Your eyes widened.
"You what?"
He nodded. "Let me explain. Your mother. I knew her pretty well. She would visit my father quite often. She worked at Endeavor's agency and-"
"Wait wait wait WHAT?" You interrupted. Your mother used to work with Endeavor? It was odd but you just felt sorry for her.
"Yeah. After she mysteriously disappeared, a new villain appeared. Stupor was his name." He continued. You froze. Stupor's name was pretty unfamiliar even among most heroes, let alone students. How did he know about him? And how did he make that connection with your mother?
"How do you know him?" You asked a little too intently. You expected him to look at you with suspicion but he seemed to get tense himself. "....I-I just heard of him! That's not important." He quickly said. "W-What I'm trying to say is.... You could have cooperated with him. He was so angry when you left. If you just listened to me, you would still have your-" He clapped his palm over his mouth in alarm.
Your eyes widened. How did he know about you not having a quirk anymore? That wasn't public information. He knew your brother somehow. But how? Goosebumps started to raise on your body. "And how would you have prevented that, Inasa?"
Inasa looked pale. He hesitantly looked around and leaned in and said, "You really wanna know? There's a restaurant nearby. Marlo's. Be there at 2 am tonight. Don't let anyone see you."
"What are you-" You began but your cell phone interrupted you. Somebody was calling.
You excused yourself and stood up.
"Hello?"
"Y/N? Oh god, I'm so sorry for leaving you all alone there!" It was Mina.
"It's okay, Mina. I'm a little busy. I'll see you back at school, okay?" You quickly cut the call.
You whipped around to go back to your seat but....there was no one there. Inasa was gone.

You walked into the common room. Your head was spinning. What the fuck just happened. What was Inasa's connection to your brother? Why did he ask you to meet him at Marlo's?
Was Inasa a friend of your brother's? Would that make him a villain too? .....But was that even a bad thing? Maybe he had a good reason... Maybe you had a good reason. No wait. What were you thinking?
You weren't able to breathe. You were panicking. Everything became blurry.....You looked around for help but there was nobody in the common room except.... Katsuki who was staring at you wide eyed.
"No...." you mumbled to yourself. You hadn't even noticed that tears were streaming down your face. You hated this. Why did he of all people have to be there? Katsuki walked towards you. "Y-Y/N? Are you okay?" He asked. But you were barely listening. Your ears were ringing.
Katsuki reached for you and cupped your face. You were powerless to pull away. He hesitantly put his arm around you and pulled you into himself and began running his hand over your back. As much as he didn't want to stay with you, he was concerned. You looked like you were going to pass out. "Hey. Hey, you gotta breathe." He said softly.
You hated that you already felt better just from his touch. You hated the effect that he had on you. You wished it wasn't him but it was and you knew it wouldn't be the same with anyone else. You needed this so you reluctantly melted into his touch. But he sensed that you were clearly uncomfortable and began to pull away. "...Wait... Please..." You whimpered and rested your head against his chest.
Katsuki complied and comfortingly ran his fingers through your hair and let you cry in his chest. "Breathe. You're okay." He held you close until your sobs died out and your breathing came back to normal.
After a while, you pulled away. You didn't know how you were going to face him. But thankfully he didn't give you the option. He quickly wiped your tears away from your cheeks and briskly walked out of the common room without giving you a single glance or uttering a word.
