Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

59. Break Free

It had been four days. You followed the same routine. Overhaul would wake you up, drug you, conduct experiments on you, and send you back. You would drift in and out of consciousness and all you could feel was pain. You saw slashes, bruises, wounds on your body. Everything was sore. And that was with the painkillers he gave you.

Eri would watch you everyday. You kept reassuring her that the heroes would come, giving her hope. But you were having a hard time believing that yourself. Where were the heroes? And where was Katsuki?

You began losing faith. You thought he loved you. So where was he when you needed him?

Katsuki stood outside the Shie Hassaikai headquarters. He was shaking in anticipation. He couldn't take it. He looked at Mirio and he seemed to be feeling the same way.

"Follow me." He said to Katuski. "I know a way." As much as Kstuski hated being ordered around, he decided to follow Mirio into the building.

"Where is she?" Katuski said as he desperately ran through the hallways inside the Shie Hassaikai headquarters with Mirio.

Just then, they spotted a man. Overhaul. "Bakugou! Go ahead. I'll take care of this."

Katsuki didnt need to be told twice. He knew that Mirio would probably need backup but he still sprinted through the hallways in search of you. He didn't care how selfish it was. His top priority was you and you alone.

After a while, he reached a dark passageway. He ran inside to check it out and...... There was a cellar.

He saw a figure inside. It was you. Relief flooded his chest.

"Y/N! Y/N! WAKE UP! IT'S ME!" He called out to you but you wouldn't wake up. He blasted the cage over and over until the lock finally shattered.

He ran in and scooped you in into his arms. You were covered in bruises. There was a large bandage on your neck. You weren't responding and you looked extremely starved and weakened. Your face bore a pained expression and there was dried blood in many places. He felt pure rage. Whoever had done this to you was going to pay dearly.

You stirred into consciousness. ".......Katsu?" You whimpered, half lidded. You couldn't believe your eyes. Were you hallucinating? Was it really him?

The pain in your weak voice broke his heart. "Hey... hey. It's okay. I got you." He said to you softly. "I'm gonna get you out of here." And with that he took off running.

"N-No! Katsuki... Eri."
"The stupid Lemon is taking care of it." He said, referring to Mirio.

He shook his head. How you could think about someone else's safety while you were in so much pain yourself was beyond him.

He heard a loud crash. What the heck was going on? He went to check it out and it was Deku. The little girl Eri was there too. He was fighting against Overhaul. The roof had given out and villains where all over the place.

But Katsuki didn't give a shit about that. His eyes were laser focused on Chisaki Kai. "Y/N." He said, lowly. "Is that the man who did this to you?"

Tears welled in your eyes and you just clutched onto his costume tighter.

He got his answer. He was seeing red now. He gently placed you down. "It's gonna be okay. I'll be right back." He said, giving you a reassuring smile as he placed a soft kiss on your forehead before rushing off.

Katuski was losing it. He charged towards Overhaul, yelling and blasted him, catching him off guard. Rage was blinding him. He didn't stop at that. He kept going at him like a madman. He wanted to do so much more to him. But he needed to get the white haired girl to safety. The only thing you had asked of him was to protect Eri and he couldn't ignore that no matter how much he wanted to murder the villain in front of him.

So he grabbed Eri from his arms and began going running to Deku to hand her over. She didn't deserve to watch what he was going to do to Overhaul.

But before he could reach Deku, a pillar rammed into him from underneath and tossed him into the air with Eri.

"Katsu! No!" You yelled but you couldn't do anything to help. He lost his grip on Eri and Overhaul got to her. All you could do was watch as Midoriya and Katsuki tried to reach for Eri desperately.

Just then, something happened. A light started illuminating from Eri. Her quirk.

She broke free from Chisaki and jumped towards Katsuki and Midoriya. Midoriya caught her and landed back onto the ground while Katsuki attacked Overhaul again, blasting him to the ground too. He stood over his bloodied body.

To your surprise, Midoriya was fine. The landing should have caused his legs to break but he could stand alright.

Deku was about back Katsuki up but he wasn't done. Overhaul tried to stand up but Katsuki blasted him back into the ground. He climbed on top of him and began punching him over and over.

You thought it was over but Chisaki had other plans. He plunged a spike into Katsuki's shoulder, making him fall to the ground. "KATSU!" You cried helplessly.

He began attacking Katsuki but Deku jumped in with Eri's quirk backing him up.

But Overhaul anticipated it. He launched an attack at Deku, making him fall backwards and was about to go for Katsuki again. He picked up a sharp spear and aimed it at the momentarily powerless Katsuki who gripped his shoulder in pain.

You weren't letting that happen though. With the last ounce of energy you didn't even know you had left in you, you launched yourself in his direction and punched Overhaul square in the face.

It was a weak punch. Very weak. But it did the trick. It caught Overhaul off guard momentarily and it gave Katsuki and Deku time to rise again.

You fell to the ground and Overhaul whipped his head towards you and you felt pure intense fear coarse through your body. Katsuki tackled him to the ground and Deku joined him. They finally seemed to have it under control and began to beat him badly. But before you could celebrate, you finally blacked out in exhaustion.
