Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

23. V/S Bakugou

Bakugou and you made your way to the arena. Your palms were sweating. Not out of fear but anticipation. You were so nervous. You wanted to fight Bakugou but also didn't at the same time.

There was no time to think about that, though. You didn't have a choice.
The match against Bakugou began.

Your main goal was to avoid Bakugou's attacks. You know if he landed a few blows, you would be done for. His quirk was incredibly strong.

Bakugou charged towards you, sending explosions your way. You flew a few feet up into the air and began blasting him backwards with air currents. While he was being knocked behind, you took that chance to land a kick, going straight for his jaw, making him fall backwards, spitting some blood.

But Bakugou got up quickly. When you were least expecting it, he grabbed you by the foot and blasted it. He proceeded to swing you around, and ram you into the ground hard. He wasn't going easy.

You summoned wind currents and began making them go round and round, forming a small tornado sending it straight towards Bakugou. He tried to avoid it but got swept away by it.

You began manipulating it to take Bakugou out of bounds and it was working but at the last second, Bakugou snapped out of it, blasting himself upwards, landing in the centre of the ring.

He still seemed dizzy so you took that chance and landed a few major hits on him. You were sure you had hurt his abdomen badly.

He snapped out of it quickly though, and countered, catching you off guard, with a huge explosion to your stomach. It threw you backwards and you screamed in pain.

He walked towards you, emerging out from the smoke. You got back up, recovering from the hit and charged towards him.

You threw punches at him but he dodged them and swept you off your feet, making you crash into the ground, knocking the air out of you, making you spew blood.

He raised his hand. An explosion was about to be rammed into your chest but at the last second, you pulled yourself to the side, making his attack hit the ground, making you fly backwards.

You saw him charging at you again and you flew up into the sky, catching your breath. He didn't let you do that though, as he flew up after you right away. You flew up higher and higher but he relentlessly followed you, hot on your tail, sending explosions for you.

Bingo. You smirked. He launched a huge explosion your way but right then, he was pulled downwards onto the grounds. You were once again, doing exactly what you did at USJ. But it took a lot out of you.

He crashed into the ground, hard but the explosion he had thrown your way still hit you. It wasn't that bad but you still took some damage.

You returned to the ground, expecting to be victorious, but the smoke cleared and you saw Bakugou. He was struggling to stand, but you saw his eyes. He wasn't giving up anytime soon.

Oh no. You were exhausted by this time. You couldn't use your quirk anymore. On the bright side, it seemed like Bakugou couldn't either. He looked heavily battered up and bruised. Blood dripped from his nose and most of his clothes had been shredded due to the fall.

You weren't looking too good either. You were unable to use your quirk, struggling to even stand. Your stomach had a huge bruise and your leg was definitely broken.

Almost simultaneously, the two of you charged towards each other. None of you could use your quirks so you had no choice. You began throwing punches and kicks at each other.

You got him a few times but he got you more times. You punched him across the face hard but he struck back, landing a flurry of hits on you.

Both of you fell to the ground, breathless. You still hadn't given up though. The two of you were barely sitting up before you began throwing weak punches.

Then, suddenly, you fell backwards, exhausted. You couldn't do it anymore. You tried to stand back up but your body wouldn't let you. You caught a glimpse of Bakugou looking at you, worried before everything went black.
