54. Rain

You leaned against Katsuki's shoulder in the cab on your way home. "He's bullshitting." You declared. Katsuki knew you were wrong but said nothing. "I mean-" you chuckled nervously, "I think I would have known if my mother was Pro Hero Vortex..!"

"Y/N.... It's alright. Let it go. It doesn't matter anyway."
"What do you mean it doesn't matter? She was my mother! It's not true! They're spreading rumours about her!"
"If it's not true then why should it matter whether they say that your mother was a pro hero or not? It's not like its something bad."

You looked up at him. You knew he was right. And you knew Inasa was right. But you didn't want to accept the fact that your mother had been lying to you.

Everybody had been trying to tell you something about your mother and your family. You weren't blind. You could see it but you didn't want to think about it. You didn't want to investigate. You didn't want to know what secrets your family was keeping.

"Fine. I'll let it go." It wasn't like you could do anything about it.

The cab dropped you off outside UA. It was almost curfew so you needed to hurry inside. Just then you felt a drop of water on your head. Fuck. Not the rain. You groaned. "I'll be right back!" Katsuki said, running off somewhere.

Great. You hated the rain. You were already feeling down. And now there was no Katsuki to cheer you up eit- Before you could finish that thought, he returned with two cups of chocolate ice cream. Your eyes lit up.

It started drizzling. "Not my chocolate ice cream, you bitch!" You yelled at the sky and used your quirk to clear the skies around the UA entrance.

He chuckled at you as he watched you struggle to shove the entire scoop in your mouth while trying concentrate and keep it from pouring down on you. He shook his head.

"Y/N. Are you stupid?"
"What?"
"Why are you using your quirk for this?"
"What do you think this quirk's for?"
"What do you think that umbrella in your purse is for?"

You turned red in embarrassment. It started pouring even harder and you had reached your limit. You quickly took the umbrella out and let the rain pour.

"Come on. Let's go." Katsuki said, wrapping an arm around your waist and using the other to hold the umbrella up for you. He handed you his chocolate icecream and you finished it without needing to be told twice. He wiped some chocolate off of your face and licked it off his finger.

You glanced up at him, embarrassed and giggled. You were always so happy when he was with you.

You realised you had almost forgotten all about what Inasa had said. How did he always know exactly how to make you smile like that? You were on the verge of a breakdown back at the restaurant but Katsuki had stepped in right in time even though he knew you were in the wrong. He had protected you. He always happened to be there when you needed him the most.

He could feel himself falling deeper in love with you with every passing second. He had his insecurities, but when he was with you, they seemed to disappear. He liked the person he was when you were with him. He felt like he could be vulnerable when he was with you.

He pulled you closer and began walking up the stairs to drop you off at your dorm.

"Good night, Y/N." He said, before giving you a peck on the lips. You were standing outside your dorm room now. "I'll return your umbrella tomorrow."

You grabbed onto his jacket. "No."
"No?"
"I don't want you to borrow my umbrella."
"Haah? What're you saying, dumbass? My room's pretty far. I'll get sick in the rain if you-"

You shut him up with a kiss. "Crap. You're right. Wouldn't want you to get sick... maybe you shouldn't go..."

He gazed into your eyes that were staring down at his lips half lidded. You were biting your lip a little. Your hair was slightly soaked and the water trickled down your neck and into your dress....He looked away. Fuck. You were driving him crazy with that look you were giving him. He felt a pang of pure desire course through his body.

"Yeah....Maybe I shouldn't."

And with that he closed the gap between the two of you, kissing you hard. He bit your lip slightly and slipped his tongue in, exploring each corner of your mouth.

You pressed your body against his and his hands travelled downwards to your thighs. He hoised you up and you wrapped your legs around his waist.

He took a step inside your room before pulling away and setting you down.
"Wait. Y/N. You sure about this?"
"I've never been more sure about anything. I'm sure about you Katsu."

With those words, you had effectively shredded every shard of self control he possessed. He leaned back down to capture your lips in another kiss as you tugged on his hair and pulled him further into the room, banging the door shut behind the two of you.
