Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

22. The Quarter Finals

It was time for the next round. The match ups had been announced. You were up against Mina.

"Y-Y/N! No way! I don't want to fight you!" She said.
"I don't want to fight you either!" You said.
But you weren't the only one fighting a friend. Bakugou was up against Kirishima.

This was going to be interesting.

"All the best, Katsu." You said.
He just scoffed and walked away, still upset. You rolled your eyes. If he was going to be a bitch, fine.

"K-K- What did you just call Bakugou?" Kirishima gaped at you in shock. "Lets go shitty hair." Bakugou said, ignoring him completely.

"Are you dating Bakugou, Y/N?" Mina looked at you skeptically. "N-NO!" You exclaimed.
"Okay. But you would tell me right?"
"What?"
"When you do date him?"
"Yeah....-Wait what do you mean when?"

She just snickered and took her seat in the audience.

Bakugou and Kirishima entered the battlefield. Their fight began. "KIRISHIMA GO FOR HIS CHIN!" Someone in the audience yelled. Everyone looked at him confused.

Kirishima was going strong, relentlessly attacking Bakugou, using his quirk. Bakugou avoided all of them but Kirishima finally got him, making his cheek bleed.

Without wasting a second, Bakugou struck back, blasting Kirishima's side but it was useless against his quirk.

Oh no. What now? You thought. But again, you were worried for no reason. Bakugou kept attacking Kirishima and Kirishima was getting exhausted trying to tank his blasts and keeping his skin hard.

Bakugou delivered a flurry of attacks and finished him off with another explosion, winning him the match.

Midoriya was up against Todoroki. He had managed to break a couple of fingers during the first few seconds itself.

After some more back and forth, Midoriya landed a few attacks on Todoroki, making him use his fire quirk. You were shocked. He had told you he never wanted to use it but Midoriya had brought it out.

During the final blow, Todoroki's quirk blew the entire stadium to ashes. Midoriya flew out of bounds, passing out. Todoroki had won.

It was time for you to fight against Mina. You both were the best of friends. You didn't want to fight her but you had to.

The battle began. She lunged, tossing acid droplets towards you. You dodged them and stuck back. You didn't want to use her weaknesses against her but you knew her physical combat was her weak point.

You got up close to her and began throwing punches and kicks, knocking her backwards over and over again until she fell out of bounds.

Iida had won the fight against a girl from 1B and the four of you advanced to the semi finals.

The pairings were announced. Your heart froze. Bakugou was your opponent. Bakugou looked at you, eyes wide, but you refused to look at him. You were a little upset with him for getting jealous of Midoriya earlier.

You had won. But you felt incredibly guilty about doing that to Mina. She was your best friend. You hadn't meant to hurt her or sadden her by being the one that made her lose. She had told you not to feel bad but you still did.

Todoroki and Iida began their match but you and Bakugou had to be seated in the waiting room since your match was next.

Bakugou walked up to you. "Go away. I don't want to talk." You said. "Shut up." He said. "I didn't come to talk to you. This is a common area for 1A."

You scoffed and began to walk out of the room. To your surprise, he caught you by the arm, pulling you backwards. But he underestimated his own strength and pulled you a little too hard, making you thump against his chest.

But he didn't push you away or let you go. "Let me go!" You said half- heartedly.
"And what if I don't?"
"T-Th-Then- I-"
"..................m'sorry......for earlier." he apologised.

You looked at him, shocked. Bakugou Katsuki was apologising to you. Before you could say anything, the speaker announced that Todoroki had won.

"That damn half and half bastard." Bakugou muttered. "I'm gonna make him use his full power against me!"
"Bold of you to assume you're going to even battle him. 'Cause you won't"
"You're going down, Y/N!"
"No, you are!"

Midnight's voice boomed. You had to leave for the battle.
