Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

42. The Rescue

Momo led you to where she believed the hideout of the League of Villains would be situated.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" You said, impatiently. "Let's go in."
"Y/N. We aren't even sure if this is the right place and even if it is, do you think we could take on villains like Dabi or the Shigaraki or a Nomu? Did you see what they did to All Might?" Momo said.

You looked away. She was right. You didn't know why you had suggested something that stupid. Momo looked at you, confused. You were never one to make rash decisions or rush in without thinking. Losing Katsuki had shaken you up so much that you weren't even able to think straight. That's what happens when you find something you truly love, I guess. Momo thought to herself.

Midoriya suggested that using Kirishima's night goggles would be a good idea to see through the window. "Oh my god." He said.

"What? What is it?" You took a look. You were shook. There were a dozen Nomus being produced....It looked like a Nomu breading factory or something....

Just then you heard some commotion. The whole group went to check it out. All five of you were shell shocked. All for One. You were sure of it. You didn't know how you knew, but you did. You felt like you had seen him before, but you couldn't recall.

You wanted to fight him but you were frozen in fear. You couldn't move an inch. Just then, All Might showed up.

He rushed towards All for One but the villain sent him flying backwards like he was nothing. His sheer strength struck you to your core.

Just then, you spotted him. Katsuki. He was right there! He was in captivity of Shigaraki but he was fine! You almost rushed after him but Iida stopped you.

"We need a plan!" He said. You looked at Midoriya and he had a spark in his eyes. He had a strategy in mind.

Before you knew it, the plan was in action. Todoroki was creating an ice ramp, Kirishima was using his quirk, breaking through walls and you were propelling the group into the sky with your quirk.

You saw All for One trying to shoot you down. OH NO YOU DON'T! You skillfully evaded his attacks.

"KATSU!" You yelled at the top of your lungs. He looked up. His eyes grew wide as soon as he saw you. "COME!"

Without wasting a single second, Katsuki stretched his arms out and created a huge explosion, thrusting himself into the sky towards you, completely unfazed by the villains surrounding him, trying to stop him and keep him trapped.

You felt his hand grasping your own and you almost lost control on your quirk which would have resulted in you crashing your classmates. But you didn't care. Katsuki was back with you and everything was right in the world again.

After you were back on the ground you and Katsuki looked at each other but before you could say a single word, something csugjt your attention. There was something broadcasting on the big screen.

All for One was attacking a civilian. Fuck. You began regretting leaving All Might all alone to fight All for One without sny backup.

All Might put himself in harm's way, shielding the civilian. The smoke cleared and... Holy Fuck. All Might had returned to his original, weakened state. Oh no. This was bad. How was the public going to take the sight of their favourite hero being reduced to a crippling shell of the man he was a second ago?

Just when you thought all hope was lost, All Might proved you wrong. The civilian began to cheer for the symbol of peace, restoring his faith.

All Might began to charge towards All for One. After some back and forth, the final blows were being delivered.

The smoke cleared and All Might raised his hand in victory. Everybody began cheering for the number one hero. Just because ge was in a different state didn't mean that he couldn't be the symbol of peace for everyone. Everyone's hope and the person they looked up to was still the man standing there.

All Might pointed to the camera. "Your turn's next." He said. The crowd erupted into cheers but you and Midoriya knew what it meant. He broke down, sobbing. You put your arm around him, comforting him. But a few tears slipped from your eyes as well.

The Symbol of Peace was no more. All Mighf would never be able to use his quirk again. Izuku's reaction only confirmed that. The hero you had always looked up to would now be forced to retire.

You spent the whole ride back to Musutafu in Katsuki's arms. You didn't care that Momo and a police officer were in the car with you. You were so glad to have him back, you couldnt help it.

He held you in his arms too. A few cuts and bruises still stung when he was holding you so tightly but he didn't give a shit about that. He clutched onto you firmly, not caring about how desperate it seemed.

Although be would never admit it to anyone, he had been terrified for the past two days. They hadn't hurt him much but it was still scarring. They would keep urging him to reconsider becoming a villain.

He felt disgusted, enraged and hurt. Was he really a person so horrible that even villains thought he wouldn't fit into a hero's position?

All these thoughts were plaguing his mind the entire time he was in captivity but somehow he seemed to forget all about it when you were in his arms. It felt safe again, like your presence alone felt like home.
