Him Again (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)

24. Hospital

"Come on, Y/N!" Nico said, taking your tiny hand in his, hurriedly leading you outside your house. "What about Katsu?" You asked him.
"No Katsu today, Y/N." He said. "Today, you've got a doctor's appointment."

"No! I don't wanna go!" You pouted.
"Okay. What if i gave you chocolate ice cream later?"
"I don't like doctors!"
"Stop being childish Y/N!" Nico said. "It's for your own good. Don't you trust your older brother?"

You sat next to him on the bus. "Are we there yet?"
"No, be patient."
You pouted. Why was he acting so irritated? The bus paused at a bus stop. Someone boarded the bus. Your face lit up. "Tenko!"
"Hi Y/N." He smiled at you, warmly.

A few minutes later, you got off the bus along with your brother and Tenko. "Why do I need to visit the doctor, Tenko?"
"Doctor?"
"Nico said we're going to the doctor!"
He chuckled. "I guess you could call him that."
"I don't like injections......"
"Don't worry, Y/N! Dr. Garaki is very gentle with children....."

Your eyes opened. You stirred into consciousness. What was that memory? Who was Tenko? Why didn't you remember him?What was happening? Why did your head hurt?

Memories of the Sports Festival came back to you. You jolted up, only to regret it, clutching your abdomen, hissing in pain.

You looked around the room. You saw Mina sitting on the couch in the corner of the room. "Y/N! You're awake! Finally!"

"How long have i been out?" You asked.
"....almost a week." She said.
"WHAT?" You had expected it to be a few hours. "You're kidding."
"How do you feel?" She asked.
"I'm fine but what happened to the Sports Festival? Who won?"

"Well....I could play the final match for you." She turned the television on. You gasped. Bakugou looked awful. He had bandages all over his body. He looked battered and bruised from your fight. Todoroki probably won..... You thought.

You watched as Todoroki began to throw ice relentlessly at Bakugou. Although Bakugou was in a weak state, he evaded all of them and even broke out of the ice, charging towards Todoroki, almost tossing him out of bounds. You smirked.

Todoroki grabbed Bakugou's arm. You expected him to use his second quirk but he didn't. "I want an indisputable win!" He yelled and charged towards Todoroki and Todoroki finally activated his quirk.

Bakugou launched an all out attack at Todoroki but he put his flames out at the last second.

Bakugou's attack made the whole stadium shake, knocking Todoroki out. Uh oh. Bakugou ran towards Todoroki and tried to wake up the unconscious man.

"YOU PUT OUT YOUR FLAMES!" He howled but Todoroki would not wake up. Midnight put Bakugou to sleep and announced that he was the victor.

Your jaw hung open. ".....yeah." Mina grimaced. "And thats not all." She fast forwarded.

Your eyes grew wide. You watched Bakugou as he was chained up with a muzzle. All Might handed Mina your third place medal and tried to put the medal around Bakugou's neck but he wouldn't let him, squirming around like a wild animal, despite all his bruises.

"Oh God! I can't watch this anymore!" You said. Mina turned it off.

"Where is he?" You asked.
"He was at the hospital the entire time. He went home an hour ago. He hasn't slept in days."

You grimaced. He probably felt guilty about doing this to you. But he was hurt just as bad. The match was almost a draw. But you didn't think he cared about his own health.

Mitsuki walked into the hospital room. "Oh Y/N! How are you?"
"I'm better." You smiled.
"I'm so glad!"
"How's Katsu?" Her face fell. "He's really shaken up about the festival. And with you in the hospital...." She sighed. "He's a tough kid though. He'll get over it."

You needed to talk to him. Not only about what happened at the Festival but also about these memories you kept getting back.
