Two days passed after that. Charlotte never ended up going to get checked. She told Parker she had gotten checked when he asked, though. She didn't want him to worry about something that wasn't there. She felt fine, so nothing was wrong.
She woke up early in the morning. Still feeling groggy, she headed to her bathroom so that she could wash her face in the sink. The cool water swept her face and heightened her senses and nerves. She shuddered, shaking her head after the first splash. She looked at herself. She noticed a small, teal splotch on the right side of her head, near the edge of the missing chunk of her head.
It looked like paint. She didn't recall Aaron ever accidentally spraying her with paint. She pinched at the area to see if it was something she could remove. Instead, she just ended up pinching herself. She hummed. She splashed some more water onto her face, then tried using the water to remove it. It remained.
She hummed again. That was mildly annoying, but she decided to ignore it. She was sure it would probably get lost some time during her day.
She turned off the faucet and left the bathroom. She had until noon to prepare herself for work. A nice, early start to her morning.
