The day was going by swimmingly. For the first time in a long time, Parker felt a genuine sense of relaxation. It wasn’t often he felt this positive. He needed to take and run with it.

He lay flat on a sunlounger, hands behind his head. He was drying off after getting soaked on the surfing simulator—a personal favorite activity of his. An exhausted but content sigh escaped him. Overhead, clouds beautifully stained the perfectly blue sky. His eyes rolled from side to side, soaking in this beautiful moment.

From a sunlounger beside his, Peni sat up, facing him, hands grappling the edge of the chair. “It's beautiful out.” She commented.

He sighed, laughing at how he felt. “Yeah..” He paused. “It is.”

Peni looked down at him with a smile. He seemed happier than usual. She was hoping that her plan was working. “Having lots of fun?”

He chuckled, shaking his head as he stood up. He looked at her with a furrowed smirk. “A little bit.”

She chuckled at his sarcasm. “That's what I like to hear.”

Parker hummed, laying back down. Yeah, he missed Charlotte. But he shouldn't let that control his life. Charlotte wanted him to move on. People like Peni were the key to finally doing so.
