Time passes. Around Charlotte, things are happening, changing. She remains ignorant of them. She had no energy. The parasitic infection ate her away. The cancerous mold had drastically ramped up. Even without energy, she couldn't fall asleep. It was outright torture. She spent each waking hour thinking about the life that was stripped from her, then agonizing over the choices she made during her time. She wasn't able to redeem her foolish past actions.

Whenever she fell asleep, she'd return to Abstracty’s nightmares. Each one went over something manipulative, sinful, or wrong that she did.

She was miserable every single minute she kept on living. No energy to do anything, too restless to sleep, an infection rotting her on the inside.

Whenever someone came to check on her, she'd ignore them as per usual. With her new outlook, she didn't want to make the others miserable with her presence. She hadn't seen Bassy in a long time, so that made her feel doubly guilty. She just couldn't help but screw up and push others away.

Airy wasn't coming back. She was trapped here until she succumbed to her illness. Her life had become dull, and she had nothing more to look forward to. Even on the off chance Airy came back, the prize he promised seemed less and less feasible. She was foolish to believe that she could achieve that.

The only thing she wanted to know anymore was why Abstracty continued to condemn her. She didn't know what it was. It wasn't an angel or a demon. She couldn't fathom what motive it had. So she wanted to know why. Every time she felt her body drift away to sleep, she hoped she would get an answer.

But she always came up empty. Then another monotonous day would occur. She didn't even know what an actual day was anymore.

Time passes. It passes and passes away until she passes away.
