Hey, everyone. Sooo, I forgot that my upload schedule was actually M, W, F instead of Tu, F, so I'm gonna change it back to M, W, F updates. Hope you enjoy!

There was still so, so much daylight left. It didn't take until three in the afternoon for Parker to build up the courage to break the news to Kylee and Leon. The pair were much kinder in their reactions, and they all agreed to cancel any future spelunking trips. It was “for Charlotte”, but Parker could read between the lines. They didn't trust him. He spoke the truth of the situation, but the truth implied that he was a murderer—at the very least that he knew more than what he was letting on.
He was tired of telling people the same things. She disappeared, she disappeared, she disappeared. Every reaction was the same. Parker hadn't slept in over a day. He was too stressed to take a nap. There was one more person he wanted to talk to, though.
It was Aaron and Charlotte’s drug buddy. He had already forgotten her name. He was too tired to recall it. He knew that her reaction would be the same as everyone else’s.. but at the very least, she deserved to know of Charlotte’s absence, considering their closeness.
But he didn't have contact with her. Only Aaron did. Sighing, he pulled out his phone. Parker was now back in his own abode. He shot Aaron a text.
Parker: Hi, Aaron. I know you think I'm some sort of murderer now, but I wanted to ask for one more thing. You know that girl that helped us raise money for Charlotte? I want to tell her about what happened. She deserves to know
A minute passed. Parker turned his TV on, trying to fill in the void of silence. After a few minutes, his phone buzzed. He immediately took a look. Aaron had responded.
Aaron: uh yeah
Aaron: ill send u her number
Parker: Thanks
After a minute, he received the girl’s number. Aaron reminded him that her name was Rebecca. He quickly texted her, wanting to get the exchange with this crackhead over with.
As he typed, he stifled a laugh, pitifully. “Ironic.” He muttered to himself.
Parker: Hi, Rebecca. This is Parker, I asked you for some money a while ago for Charlotte
Parker: Charlotte is missing
Parker: You're her friend, so I felt you deserved to know
He set his phone down. An involuntary yawn escaped him. His stomach growled. Goddamn, he felt like shit. He was too tired to make something for himself. He weakly trudged over to his fridge. Hopefully he had a premade dinner or snack to satiate his hunger.
Luckily, he did. It was a few months old—he'd forgotten that it was even in there. Nonetheless, he stuffed it in his microwave and began cooking it.
His phone started ringing. He let out a tired breath, picking up his phone again. The caller didn't have a name, but Parker recognized it as Rebecca’s number. He answered the call. “Hello?” He asked tiredly.
“Hi. This is Rebecca.”
“Mmh, right.”
“I saw your text. Charlotte is missing?”
He grimaced, closing his eyes. Even closing his eyes made him sleepy. “Yeah. She's gone.”
The girl on the other side let out a whimper. “What happened?”
He sighed. “I know you're not going to believe me.” He muttered, just to temper his own expectations. “But she disappeared in front of my eyes last night.”
