A week passed.

“A cruise?” Rebecca carelessly smiled, not looking at Parker. She was too busy staring at the doodles Aaron was creating on the floor with chalk. “That sounds like fun.” She was cross legged, both her hands grabbing the spot where her ankles met, bobbing side to side, like an airhead.

“Yeah. June 6th.” Parker affirmed, cigarette in hand. “It's gonna be a week long. It'll be just my sister and I.”

Aaron, hands stained with light green chalk, hummed, amused at Rebecca’s silly smile. He glanced at Parker, grinning. “What are you two gonna do there?”

“Not entirely sure.” Parker rubbed the back of his neck, smiling awkwardly. “She planned and booked the whole thing. She didn't want to stress me out.”

Rebecca tilted her head. “I couldn't imagine going with a sibling, though.”

“You only say that because you don't have siblings.” Aaron commented, smirking.

“Still!” She laughed. “If I were to go on a week-long cruise, I'd want it to be fun.”

“What, you're saying going with a sibling isn't fun?”

She hummed in thought. “It's not as heart racing.” She raised a brow. “If I was going to go to a big shot place, I'd want to get romantic and freaky.”

“Oh yeah?” He raised a brow. “Who'd you take with you, in that case?”

She snickered. “Oh, I'd bring you with me, of course.” Her answer sounded sarcastic, but the way she looked at him made it seem genuine.

The two shared a small, lighthearted chuckle together. Parker watched, a small, awkward smile on his face.

“Hey, Parker,” Rebecca blurted.

“Hm?”

“If you weren't going with your sister, who would you bring with you on your cruise?”

He stifled a laugh. “Well-.. I think it's kinda obvious, but,” He looked down. “I'd want to go on the cruise with Charlotte.” He melancholically muttered.

The mood suddenly became pensive. She nodded, turning back to Aaron. “Mm. I miss Char-Char, too.”

Aaron focused on scribbling on the floor. “Yeah. Same.”

“You should draw her and Parky on a cruise together, Ron.”

He let out an amused hum. “That'd be a nice gift.” He looked at Parker. “What do you think?”

Parker smiled, looking away. “Yeah.” He nodded, although his heart deeply ached. “Yeah, that'd be nice.”
