It's Finally Gone

Today was exciting. It was finally the day Charlotte would get her mold removed.

She shared a long hug with Parker that morning. She had her eyes closed as they gently swayed. “This’ll be the last time you see me like this.” She reminded him in a coo.

He giggled. “Good.”

“Thank you, Parker.”

“I can't wait to get back from work to see how beautiful you look.”

She giggled, squeezing him a bit tighter. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Parker blasted through the garage door. “Charloootte!” He called excitedly. She wasn't in the living room.

“Parker?” Her voice shouted quietly back. His skin buzzed with excitement. He set down his things and walked quickly to her room—where her voice came from. He opened her door. There she was, lying on her bed, mold completely gone. She smirked tiredly. “Hey.”

“Oh my god..!” He laughed quietly. “You look-” He shook his head. It was really, finally gone. “You look amazing, Charlotte..!”

“Oh, but not beautiful?” She raised a brow, slowly sitting herself up.

“Hey, that's not what I said.” He walked over to her bed, grabbing her and kissing her. The both of them laughed. “Can you see from your right eye now?” He asked.

She sighed, though she wasn't super upset. “Unfortunately I need to get contacts.”

“Contacts? Why not glasses? They'd look cute on you.”

She giggled. “No they wouldn't, shut up. Besides, that would mess with my left eye’s vision.”

He chuckled. “I know, I know. Are you able to go back to work soon?”

“Not right away. I got a doctor’s note that gives me permission to stay at home for a week.”

“I guess I'm gonna have to stay home a week and take care of you, then.” He joked.

“Uhuh.” She replied sarcastically. She sighed tiredly, falling back onto the bed. “Shut up.” She closed her eyes.

“You know what this means, right?”

“Nn?” She opened one eye.

“We can go spelunking together again.”

She chuckled softly, amused. “I can't wait.”
