IT CAME APPARENT THAT HERMIONE AND RON would also be spending Valentine's Day in Hogsmeade --- and Alora and Harry would have to come up with a strategy to spend the day around them.

On the morning of the fourteenth, Alora dressed particularly specifically, she also arranged her hair in a certain way, she wanted to look as presentable as possible --- even if this was Harry; the boy who'd seen her through everything.

She joined Harry and Ron at breakfast, accompanied by Hermione. Alora's brain racked through ideas of excuses to give them --- whether it was to do with mail, or if it was 'wanting to look around shops' she finally settled on a decent excuse --- she wanted to get something for Ron's birthday which was coming up in the next two weeks.

Though, that went a little haywire when Ron couldn't come.

"I can't come into Hogsmeade at all; Angelina wants a full day's training. Like it's going to help; we're the worst team I've ever seen. You should see Sloper and Kirke, they're pathetic, even worse than I am." he heaved a sigh. "I dunno why Angelina won't just let me resign."

"Because you are a good player, Ron, whether you believe it or not." Alora encouraged.

It was very evident that Ron still felt sensitive to talk about Quidditch, anyone would be if they experienced what he did during their first game --- he did not speak of the topic for the duration of breakfast. Soon, he bid his farewells and made his way to the pitch as Harry, Alora and Hermione readied to head into Hogsmeade.

"Where shall we go first, then?" Hermione asked, placing a book in her bag.

Harry and Alora looked at each other for a moment, Alora began to feel horrible for Hermione, she had no idea the day that they'd planned --- the original idea was that Ron would be coming too, so she wouldn't be alone.

"Well --- I was going to get Ron's birthday present, and I needed Harry's opinion on it. . ." Alora stretched out, the guilt of leaving her best friend crept up on her. "If that's okay?"

Hermione looked between the two for a moment, she didn't look downcast nor annoyed --- there was a glint in her eye that glanced betwixt Harry and Alora. "That's good actually, I was going to do the same myself."

Hermione sent Alora a smirk which immediately sparked relief through her.

"Lora," Hermione muttered, when Harry wasn't paying attention as he was too busy flattening his hair. "I found this, I was going to wear it but I think it would suit you."

She placed a small white bow in Alora's hair, to finish off the design of her half-up-half-down style. Did Alora care that Hermione most likely knew what was happening? No. Not at all, because she'd rather Hermione know than anyone else --- and Hermione could keep a secret.

They made their way to Hogsmeade; Harry looked over at Alora and recognised her hair style looked a little like the one she wore at the Yule Ball, without as much make-up and up-do --- yet, she still looked as beautiful.

They passed the Quidditch pitch as they strolled to the small town. Alora caught a glimpse of Ron and Ginny skimming along the stands and felt a sense of longing to climb up and fly with them, she missed the feeling of her hair flying around as the wind pulled her along the game, she even missed the injuries that she'd get during a game, because at least she had a part in the sport nonetheless.
