Chapter 40

NATALIA'S POV

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is your captain speaking. We're now descending toward Basco Airport. The weather in Batanes is clear, and we're set for a smooth landing." the captain announced.

Mabilis na dumaan ang mga araw. Today is already January 5 and we are now  arriving at Batanes.

Kakabalik lang namin ng Pilipinas kahapon at heto nanaman kami ngayon papunta naman ng Batanes.

After that New Year's Eve, casual na kaming nag-uuusap ni Alexander. I often see him already smiling and having no more fights.

Sinasama niya na din ako sa mga meetings na pinupuntahan niya after the new year.

Anlaki ng pinagbago, ramdam ko iyon. We are now comfortable with each other. I think we are now friends.

'Friends.'

I smiled bitterly while putting my seatbelt on.

Sinundo lang kami ng isang van pagbaba sa airport papuntang hotel.

Were going to stay in a high end hotel located on top of hill. 

When we finally get in to our room, excited akong naglibot. 

Our room has a balcony kung saan tanaw na tanaw mo yong magandang view ng dagat at mga hills. 

Mayroon din ditong mga upuan at mesa kung saan pwede ka tumambay every morning habang nagkakape at tinatanaw ang sobrang gandang view.

Sa loob naman, we have a king sized bed, own bathroom and shower room and a mini living area pero walang tv. 

Sabi nila sinadya daw talaga ng hotel na to na huwag maglagay ng tv para mas ma - enjoy ng mga turista ang ganda ng paligid.

We also have a glass window na may magandang view at pwede kang umupo doon.

Of course, since Batanes is known for their stone houses, the wall of this hotel is made of stones and woods.

The curtains and sheets are all white kaya ang linis niyang tignan.

Lumabas kami ng balcony para tignan ang papalubog na araw. It's already sunset.

'It's so beautiful.'

Nilabas ko ang cellphone ko at kumuha ng mga litrato. Kahit si Alexander ay ganoon din ang ginawa. We even take pictures together.

When the sun finally went down, we decided to go out of our room and go to the restaurant to eat dinner.

After eating, bumalik din kami sa kwarto namin to rest dahil pagod sa byahe. Bukas kami mamasyal at maglilibot dito sa hotel.

Dumeretso na ako ng banyo para magshower at pagkatapos ko ay sumunod na si Alexander.

I was busy doing my skincare while sitting on the bed when I realized there was only one bed. That means we are going to sleep together.

Napalunok ako. 

Lumabas si Alexander ng banyo habang nagpupunas ng buhok when he saw me looking at him.

Naglakad din siya palapit sa kama at naupo sa kabilang side.

"There's only one bed. If you're not comfortable, na makatabi ako, I can sleep on the floor, don't worry. I'll just ask for a mat and an extra blanket at the reception." he said.

"No." I suddenly said. Parang pati siya ay nagulat sa sinabi ko. "I mean, it's fine. You can sleep on the bed beside me." I said.

"Are you sure?" he asked.
