ALEXANDER'S POV

"What do you mean?" she asked, confused.

Hinawakan ko ang kamay niya at hinila siya papunta sa upuan para makaupo kami.

Flashback

Dad called me for dinner, which is why I am here at the mansion tonight. He said he wanted to tell us something.

"Ayaw magpakasal ng lalaking anak ng kaibigan ko kay Belinda." Dad said when we were already eating our dessert.

"Wow, this is the first time that someone has rejected me, huh?" Belinda joked.

When Dad announced that Belinda was getting engaged, she didn't care. She just agreed because, after all, she said she is busy at the hospital, so she doesn't have time to find love and good thing kusa siyang binigyan.

"Because he has a girlfriend." Mom answered.

"He really loves his girlfriend." Belinda commented.

"Nakiusap daw sakanya ang anak niyang babae na siya nalang ang ipakasal kaysa sa kapatid niya." he added.

"Wow, such a heroic woman." I sarcastically said.

"So, what did you say, Dad?" Belinda asked.

"Alexander, will you please consider this one?" Dad said, not answering Belinda's question.

'I knew it.'

"Dad, you know what will be my answer to that." I said.

"Just give it a try, son." Dad said, hoping.

"Come on, Alexander. Arrange marriage is also good. Look at us, your dad and I have also been in arranged marriage, and look at us now, we are happy." Mom said.

"Hindi lahat nagiging katulad ng sainyo, Mom." I said.

"Wala bang boyfriend yan?" Belinda asked.

Dad sighed because he knows me. If I say no, then it's a no.

"Sabi ko na nga ba at impossible ito, but I understand. Now, excuse me, I'll just call my friend about this." he said, leaving us at the dining table.
