Josie Saltzman didn't mean to cause chaos. It had all started with an innocent mistake—an accidental sip from a potion meant for someone else. But as the warm, sweet liquid slid down her throat, she had no idea the storm it was about to unleash.

The day had begun normally at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Josie was in Professor Dorian's advanced potions class, her mind half-focused on the ingredients list she was copying. She had been partnered with Kaleb, who was busy flirting with a girl at the next table, leaving Josie to do most of the work. In the midst of mixing their potion, Kaleb had asked her to hand him a vial. Distracted by his chatter and the buzzing thoughts of her own, Josie had grabbed the wrong one—the one meant for the next table over—and taken a sip, thinking it was just water.

Immediately, a strange warmth spread through her, followed by an odd tingling sensation that left her feeling dizzy. She brushed it off as just a bit of nausea from all the potion fumes, unaware of the effect it would have on everyone around her.

It wasn't until class ended that Josie noticed something strange. As she walked through the hallways, she began to notice people behaving differently—specifically, around her. First, Kaleb, who had never shown an ounce of romantic interest in her, suddenly started staring at her with wide, adoring eyes. Then, as she bumped into Jed in the hallway, he practically fell over himself, offering to carry her books and walk her to her next class.

By the time she reached her locker, she was surrounded by a small crowd of lovestruck admirers, each trying to outdo the other with offers of help, compliments, and flowers that seemed to materialize out of nowhere.

"What the heck is going on?" Josie muttered to herself, feeling overwhelmed.

She ducked into an empty classroom to escape the growing crowd, her heart racing with confusion and a bit of fear. She wasn't used to this kind of attention, and she didn't like it—especially when she realized she had no idea why it was happening.

Josie's mind raced as she tried to figure out what could have caused this strange behavior. Then, as she retraced her steps from earlier that day, her thoughts landed on the potion she had sipped in class. Her eyes widened in horror. Had she accidentally taken some kind of love potion?

Just as panic started to rise, the door to the classroom creaked open. Josie tensed, expecting to see another lovestruck student, but instead, Hope Mikaelson stepped inside, her brow furrowed with concern.

"Josie? What's going on? Why are there a bunch of students following you around like lost puppies?"

Josie sighed in relief at the sight of Hope. "Hope, thank god you're here. I think I did something really, really stupid."

Hope raised an eyebrow and crossed the room to where Josie was standing. "What did you do?"

"I think I accidentally drank a love potion," Josie admitted, her voice small and embarrassed. "And now everyone who comes near me is acting like I'm the love of their life."

Hope's eyes widened slightly, and then she did something unexpected—she burst out laughing.

Josie stared at her, confused. "Why are you laughing? This is serious!"

"I'm sorry," Hope said between laughs, trying to catch her breath. "It's just...of all the things that could happen, you drinking a love potion and turning half the school into your fan club is kind of...well, hilarious."

Josie huffed, crossing her arms. "It's not hilarious! It's really annoying and kind of scary! How do I fix this?"

Hope wiped a tear from the corner of her eye, her laughter subsiding. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry. Let's think about this. First, we need to find out what kind of potion it was so we can reverse it."
