Hope Mikaelson had always known that actions could sometimes speak louder than words. She wanted to show Josie Saltzman just how deeply she cared, so she had a special surprise planned. For weeks, she worked behind the scenes to arrange a private exhibit at a local art gallery, featuring paintings and drawings that captured their relationship's essence, from their first meeting to their most cherished moments together.

The day before the exhibit, Hope carefully reviewed each piece, ensuring they conveyed the love and memories they had built. She wanted everything to be perfect for Josie.

On a summer afternoon, Hope took Josie's hand and led her through the city streets. They arrived at the art gallery, a charming building with large windows letting warm light spill out onto the sidewalk.

"Hope, this place looks amazing," Josie said, glancing around with curiosity. "What's the occasion?"

Hope smiled, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "It's a surprise. I wanted to show you something special."

As they entered the gallery, Hope guided Josie through the main hall and into a private room at the back. The space was softly lit, with ambient music playing in the background. The walls were lined with framed artwork, each piece capturing moments from their journey together.

Josie's eyes widened as she took in the first painting. It depicted their first meeting at the Salvatore School, capturing the spark of connection between them.

As they moved to the next piece, Josie saw a drawing of their first date, a whimsical scene of them walking hand in hand under the stars. Each subsequent painting showed different moments: their first kiss by the lake, a cozy evening watching the sunset, and a playful day in the park. Each artwork was rich with detail and emotion, vividly portraying the depth of their experiences.

Josie stopped in front of a particularly beautiful painting. It depicted their anniversary celebration with vibrant colors and twinkling fairy lights. The painting showed them dancing together, lost in the moment.

"This is incredible, Hope," Josie said, her voice filled with awe. "It's like reliving all our best moments."

Hope watched Josie's reaction with a tender smile. "There's one more thing I want you to see," she said softly, guiding Josie to the final piece.

The last piece was a large canvas that took up the entire wall. It depicted a future that Hope and Josie had dreamed of together—a vision of their future life, filled with love and happiness. The painting showed them surrounded by family and friends, in a peaceful, beautiful home with children playing in the garden.

Josie stood in front of the painting, tears welling up in her eyes. The image was so vivid and hopeful, capturing everything they had dreamed of. She turned to look at Hope, overwhelmed by the beauty and significance of the moment.

To Josie's astonishment, Hope was down on one knee, holding a small ring box. The look of love and hope in her eyes was undeniable.

"Josie," Hope began, her voice steady but emotional. "From the moment we met, I knew you were my soulmate. I wanted to show you how much you mean to me and how much I want to build our future together. Will you marry me?"

Josie's eyes filled with tears as she looked at the ring and then back at Hope. Overcome with emotion, she nodded, unable to speak.

"Yes," she finally managed to say, her voice choked with happiness. "Yes, I'll marry you."

Hope slipped the ring onto Josie's finger, and they shared a tender, heartfelt kiss. In that moment, surrounded by the art that told the story of their love, they knew their bond was unbreakable.

As they pulled back, Hope whispered, "I love you more than words can say."

Josie smiled through her tears. "I love you even more."
