Hope Mikaelson was used to feeling alone, but that changed the moment Josie Saltzman came into her life. They were both students at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, a sanctuary for supernatural beings. Hope, a tribrid, and Josie, a siphoner witch, found solace in each other's presence.

Hope's days were incomplete without Josie. The sound of Josie's laughter, the sparkle in her eyes, the way she bit her lip when she was concentrating—all these little things made Hope fall deeper in love. Their relationship had become the center of Hope's universe. She wanted to be by Josie's side 24/7, to hold her close, to cuddle, and to feel Josie's warmth.

On one particularly long school day, Hope couldn't wait to see Josie. She missed her terribly, and the hours seemed to drag on endlessly. Finally, after classes, Hope retreated to her room, a quiet haven where she could read and lose herself in stories while waiting for Josie.

As she sat on her bed with a book in hand, Hope heard the soft click of the door. She looked up, her heart leaping with joy at the sight of Josie. Instantly, her book was forgotten, and she made grabby hands, silently pleading for Josie to come closer. Josie's smile lit up the room, and she quickly crossed the distance, slipping into Hope's waiting arms.

They snuggled together, the stress of the day melting away in each other's embrace. Hope buried her face in Josie's hair, inhaling the comforting scent. Time seemed to stand still as they lay there, wrapped up in their own little world.

As they cuddled, Josie's phone buzzed with a text. She hesitated, not wanting to disturb the peaceful moment, but she knew it could be important. Carefully, she extracted her phone from her pocket and read the message. It was from her sister, Lizzie, asking for help with a spell.

Josie glanced at Hope, who was now peacefully asleep, her arms still loosely wrapped around Josie. Reluctantly, Josie began to slide out of bed, trying not to wake her. But as soon as she moved, Hope stirred and opened her eyes. Her voice was soft and filled with sleepy affection.

"Baby... come back to bed," Hope murmured, her grip tightening ever so slightly.

Josie's heart melted at the sight of Hope's sleepy plea. She leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to Hope's forehead. "I have to help Lizzie, love. I'll be quick, I promise."

Hope's eyes fluttered open, a mixture of disappointment and understanding in them. She nodded, releasing Josie reluctantly. "Hurry back, okay?"

Josie smiled reassuringly. "I will. And when I do, we'll pick up right where we left off."

With a final kiss, Josie slipped out of Hope's embrace and headed out to help her sister. Hope watched her go, already counting down the minutes until Josie would return. The room felt emptier without her, but the thought of being together again soon kept Hope's spirits up.

As promised, Josie returned as quickly as she could. When she stepped back into the room, Hope was waiting, her arms open wide. Josie hurried into her embrace, and they cuddled close once more, content in the knowledge that no matter what, they would always find their way back to each other.
