A Lazy Day

The sun filtered softly through the curtains of Hope's dorm room at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.
It was one of those rare Saturdays where neither Hope nor Josie had any obligations, no monsters to fight, no classes to attend, just a perfectly lazy day to spend together.

Hope was the first to wake up. She turned over in bed to see Josie still fast asleep, her hair fanned out over the pillow. Hope couldn't help but smile. She gently brushed a stray strand of hair from Josie's face, causing Josie to stir and slowly open her eyes.

"Morning, sleepyhead," Hope whispered.

Josie smiled, still half-asleep. "Morning. What time is it?"

"Almost ten," Hope replied, glancing at the clock. "But don't worry, we have nowhere to be."

Josie stretched, snuggling closer to Hope. "That sounds perfect. A whole day with nothing to do but be with you."

Hope wrapped her arms around Josie, pulling her into a warm embrace. "Exactly what I was thinking."

They stayed like that for a while, simply enjoying the closeness, the warmth of each other. After some time, Hope suggested, "How about we watch something? We can just lie here, watch TV, and do whatever we wanna do."

Josie nodded enthusiastically. "That sounds wonderful."

Hope reached over to grab the remote and turned on the TV, flipping through the channels until they settled on a classic movie. As the movie played in the background, they started talking.

"So," Josie began, tracing patterns on Hope's arm, "if you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?"

Hope thought for a moment. "I think I'd like to visit Paris. The art, the history, the romance. What about you?"

"Paris sounds amazing," Josie agreed. "But I think I'd choose somewhere a bit more tropical. Maybe Bali. I've always wanted to see those beautiful beaches and just relax under the sun."

Hope smiled. "Bali sounds perfect too. We should go someday."

Josie looked up at her, eyes sparkling. "Promise?"

Hope nodded, leaning down to kiss Josie gently. "Promise.
I'll take you wherever you wanna go, just say it".
Josie chuckles and kisses her again. "You're so sweet. I love you."
Hope strokes her cheek. "I love you more."

They continued watching the movie, talking intermittently. When the movie ended, they switched to a TV show, and Josie started giggling at a particularly funny scene.

"You have the cutest laugh," Hope said, smiling.

Josie blushed slightly. "You always say that."

"Because it's true," Hope insisted. "I love everything about you, Josie Saltzman. Your laugh, your smile, the way you care so much about everyone."

Josie looked at Hope with adoration in her eyes. "I love you too, Hope Mikaelson. You make me feel safe, and loved, and... like I can do anything."

Hope hugged Josie tighter. "You can do anything. You're incredible, and don't ever forget that."

They spent the rest of the afternoon in bed, wrapped in each other's arms, occasionally getting up only to grab snacks. They talked about their dreams, their fears, their hopes for the future. Every conversation brought them closer together, deepening their bond.

As evening approached, the room filled with the soft glow of the setting sun. They decided to order takeout for dinner, not wanting to break the lazy day vibe by cooking. They sat in bed, eating and talking, sharing stories from their childhoods.

"Remember the first time we met?" Josie asked, laughing.

Hope nodded. "How could I forget? You were so nervous and adorable. I think I fell for you right then and there."

"I was such a mess," Josie admitted, smiling. "But you were so calm and collected. I thought you were the coolest person ever."

Hope chuckled. "Well, I had to keep up appearances. Inside, I was just as nervous as you."

Josie leaned in, giving Hope a sweet, lingering kiss. "I'm glad we found each other."

"Me too," Hope whispered, kissing her back.

As the night fell, they snuggled closer, the TV playing softly in the background. The day had been perfect in its simplicity, just two people in love, enjoying each other's company.

"I wish every day could be like this," Josie murmured, her head resting on Hope's chest.

"Me too," Hope replied, running her fingers through Josie's hair. "But even when things get crazy, we'll always have days like this to come back to."

Josie looked up at Hope, her eyes filled with love. "Always."

And with that, they settled into a comfortable silence, drifting off to sleep in each other's arms, dreaming of all the lazy days yet to come.
