Aurelia barely slept after Buck left her apartment last night, they talked for hours. by the time he left, Aurelia laid in bed awake all night with her journal writing. arriving at the station, already in her uniform the red head rubbed her eyes walking up the stairs being greeted by, Chimney, Eddie, Buck and a cardboard cutout of Bobby when he was younger.
"please don't tell me that's who i think it is." Aurelia stared at the cutout.
"oh, it is!" Buck excitedly walked over to Aure taking her hand.
"this explains why he asked me if i wanted to learn how to figure skate when i was fourteen." she interlocked her fingers with Buck's.
"did you?" Eddie asked.
"oh yeah, for almost six years. when we left Minnesota i stopped skating." Aurelia jumped on an empty spot on the counter.
"we're taking Christopher ice skating. i need to see that." Eddie playfully pointed at Aurelia making her laugh.
"morning, folks." Bobby's voice filled the upstairs of the firehouse making his way over to his team, "first up, water heater went out last night, but they are sending someone to fix it. until then, you might wanna brace yourselves when you hit the showers. we're also changing the lunch schedule."
Eddie turned imitating fanfare pulling out the cardboard cut out of young Bobby, Chimney pressed record on his phone getting Bobby's reaction as Eddie and Buck showed off the cardboard cutout.
"Captain Robert Nash.. this is your life!" Chimney cheered pointing to the cardboard.
"pew! pew! pew!"
"oh my gosh. where did you get that?" Bobby laughed.
"Heidi says hi. she's gonna email you later. she didn't wanna ruin the surprise." Buck smiled as Aurelia tugged him back as he leaned against her legs.
"i think we all had a little surprise this morning. not sure what i was expecting, but it certainly wasn't that hair!" Chimney pointed to Bobby's long hair.
"yeah, Cap, what is this look? is this some kind of Travolta thing?" Eddie asks.
"not Travolta. Bowie." Bobby says as the three men looked at him in confusion and silence.
"Ziggy Stardust?" Bobby continued.
"this feels a little more Siegfried and Roy." Chimney wiggled his fingers.
