Aurelia slowly stepped into her and Buck's room, he was awake and still in bed scrolling through his phone. Ajax was at soccer practice and Aurelia had still been thinking about putting their wedding on a pause. she had spoken to Bobby again wondering what to do and he told her the same thing he had told her before. a breath left her lips as she walked further into the room shutting the door, Buck looked up from his phone setting it on the nightstand watching her climb into bed.
Buck still hadn't heard from Chimney since he punched him in the face after knowing Maddie left. no matter how many times Buck tried to get in contact with his sister, he still hadn't heard back from her. he was so grateful for Aurelia who assured him everyday that everything would be okay and he would hear from both Maddie and Chimney soon.
Aurelia sat beside him picking at the sleeves of her sweater as Buck sat up to look at her, "i think we should put a hold on the wedding." she blurted out leaving Buck in shock.
"you don't wanna get married?" Buck asked his voice still raspy from his sleep.
"i do. you know i do, Buck. there's just a lot going on right now and i know you want Maddie to be there and i do too." Aurelia explained feeling her body heat up from the nerves.
Buck leaned back against the headboard of the bed running a hand over his hair, "Aure."
"i wanted to talk to you about it first. we can call and ask to push it back just a few more months." she continued feeling her eyes start to water.
Buck stayed quiet not knowing what to say or even think, all he wanted was to marry Aurelia and now that was also coming to a pause. his silence made her anxiety rise and she looked at her hands, the engagement ring on her finger as she started to spin it around. she felt him get out of bed and heard a door close, Aurelia covered her face lying down on the bed, her back facing the bathroom door that was now shut.
Buck leaned against the door, his head leaned back against the door staring up at the ceiling. he understood why Aurelia wanted to put a hold on their wedding and of course he wanted Maddie there. just the thought of pushing back the wedding made Buck feel upset, he knew Aurelia was right, Buck just wanted everything to go back to how it was.
the sound of Aurelia's phone made her sit up seeing Chimney's name on the screen. she got off of the bed leaving the room making her way downstairs answering the call.
"hey, Chim."
"hi, Aure. i won't be at work for a while, your dad gave me the okay to leave for a few weeks but i wanted to let you know." Chimney softly tells her leaning back into his chair making sure to not wake Jee-Yun.
