Aurelia made her way down the stairs of the firehouse, her hair was all frizzed up from the heat and up in a ponytail, she was in her tank top she wears underneath her LAFD t-shirt. the heat was getting worse especially during the day, she fanned herself with Buck's clipboard that she took away from him, she watched Buck approach a sleeping Eddie resting a hand on his arm.
"let him sleep-"
"hey, are you sleeping or just pretending?" Buck asked.
"never mind."
"i was actually trying to, until you interrupted." Eddie covered his eyes with his arm.
"i'm exhausted." Buck took a seat.
"we all are." Aurelia made her way to Eddie's cot sitting on the edge of it.
"uh, h-how are you feeling?" Buck asks.
"hot. i'm sweating out of places i didn't know i could." Eddie muttered.
"ew." Aurelia teased Eddie starting to fan him with the clipboard making him smile at her.
"not like a cold sweat though, right? a-any chest pains?" Buck asked in worry, Aurelia and Eddie both looked at him.
"you don't give up, do you? i'm fine, Buck." Eddie tells him.
"people who are fine don't go and see cardiologists. you need to tell me or Aure if something is wrong."
"all right. it was a panic attack. not a heart attack." Eddie sat up while Aurelia still fanned him and herself, "panic."
"since when do you panic?" Buck asked.
"that's what i said. i don't panic. except i did." Eddie sighed.
"what triggered it?" Aurelia asks.
"i mean, you did just get shot and almost killed by a sniper i guess that could be considered anxiety-inducing." Buck says.
"that wasn't it, okay? if i'm being honest with myself, i... think it was Ana."
"uh... i thought things were great with her."
"yeah. she's been a godsend through all this. staying with Christopher, you know. but i... i think that's what's causing the panic. somehow we became a ready-made family and i... i don't know if i'm ready for that."
