A/N: can't believe we're at 80 chapters on this book

"So that big ass bruise is from Liv?" I asked with a chuckle as I fixed my Christmas tree, hanging a few custom made ornaments with pictures of Jenna and I on them.

"Yes." Billie groaned a little embarrassingly. "She found out about Jenna and I's ruse and let's just say, that girl can really punch." She rubbed her arm where the bruise was. "Guess that what happens when I put my life at risk."

"Yeah, you guys were dumbasses." I exhaled slowly, biting the tip of my tongue as I focused on spreading the tinsel evenly around the tree. "I'm glad you're safe but god, Jenna is lucky I didn't kick her ass."

"What'd you do?" Billie leaned forward, I gave her a look. "Oh, c'mon, I've known you for 16 years and you're telling me you didn't do anything to her?"

"I threw pillows at her and pulled her by her ear." I confessed with a roll of my eyes. Billie chuckled a little from behind me.

"I'd rather that than a punch." She pursed her lips together as Liv and Jenna walked through the door.

"Are you bitchin' about that puny ass punch again?" Jenna squinted her eyes at Billie who raised her arms in defense.

"She hits hard!" She pointed at her girlfriend who rolled her eyes.

"You're a baby." Liv scoffed playfully, leaning down from behind the couch to kiss Billie's cheek. "My baby."

Billie threw the middle finger up at Jenna before jumping off the couch like an eager puppy to follow after Liv in the kitchen. "I don't get how you put up with her ass for 16 years." Jenna muttered under her breath to me.

I laughed a little. "She's not all bad, babe. Besides, I've only put up with you for 8 months now and you're pushing my buttons."

"Pop off, babes." Liv walked by, mindlessly high fiving me which made Jenna scoff.

"Anyway." My girlfriend dismissed with a smile, making me quietly shake my head. "This is a cute picture of us." Jenna picked up the green ornament with us in the frame. In the picture, Natalie took a photo of us when we fell asleep on each other. Jenna's arms were wrapped around my waist, my head tucked under her chin, and my leg thrown over her hip.

"I know. We're adorable together." I grinned, pecking her cheek and placed the ornament back on the tree.

"Can I put an ornament on?" Lloyd shuffled out of the bathroom, ruffling his own hair. Just a week ago he got his cast removed and he's been maneuvering around just fine. We're proud of him.

"Come on, bud." Jenna patted his back with a beer in her hand. I smiled welcomingly as he pulled a small ornament out of his pocket. "What is it?"

"My dad's." Lloyd muttered a little. "He was in the army and shit. He gave me this bullet. My ma wrote his birthday on it so I kept as an ornament." He placed it on a spot in the center of the tree. "Lookin fresh now, homie."

I laughed a little and rubbed his arm. "Okay, it looks perfect, Lloyd." Jenna ruffled his hair before sitting on the couch with Liv and Billie.

"Ima go smoke a little, that good with you?" Lloyd looked towards me. He always asked permission for these kind of things — he didn't like to smoke around us if we didn't like it or if he was craving it, he'd politely dismiss himself outside.
