It should be me dancing with her, my hands on her hips, and my lips on her neck.

But, no. Y/N simply ignored my existence the second we walked through the bar. She spotted this ugly ass blonde girl — who for some reason she found hot — and dragged her to the dance floor. I mean, come on, I'm right here and you chose her?

That washed out bitch?

This kinda just proves my point of being a fling. This is why we don't let ourselves get attached to someone so fast. I let my hopes get up and then they were crushed in an instant.

At the hands of Y/N L/N.

"Hey, you alright?" Emma nudged me — I was more than happy to have someone so close to me visit me in New York City since she was in town.

"Just..." I sighed and forced my eyes away from Y/N grinding up on the raggedy blonde. I faced Emma, hands shaking in my lap, but she grabbed them to calm me down. "Have you ever fallen for someone so fast and then they do something that just absolutely crushes you?"

Emma nodded in understanding. Her eyes peered behind me towards Y/N, realization kicking in. I could see it in her eyes. "If she doesn't see what she's missing, then she's not worth it." Was all my best friend said before kissing my cheek and standing up. "I'm going to get another drink, you need another?"

I sighed tiredly and nodded a 'yes' to her. Emma marched off to the bar while my attention turned back to Y/N. The blonde and her were about to take shots, Jasmin caught Y/N's attention. That's when I got a visual picture of the blonde slipping something in Y/N's drink.

Emma walked back over with the beers in her hand. "Beer is your go-to so- what's wrong?" She immediately saw the panicked look on my face and turned to see what the blonde was doing. "Oh, shit."

I stood up with Emma following close by, Jasmin departing from Y/N. The Y/E/C girl turned back around and prepared to take the shot, but I snatched it from her hand and dumped the alcohol in the sink on the other side of the counter of the bar.

"Hey! What the fuck was that for?!" She immediately defensive and up in my face, Emma pulling her back. The blonde looked just as irritated that I foiled her plans.

"She put something in your drink!" I exclaimed and pointed accusingly at the blonde who scoffed amusingly.

"Uh, no, I didn't. Why would I do that, hm?" Y/N seemed to believe this stranger's bullshit lie since she turned to me with her arms crossed, a glare evident on her face.

"I just watched you do it! Emma did too!" My best friend quickly nodded her head, no ounce of hesitation visible on the both of us.

"Ridiculous." Y/N grabbed her purse and made her getaway towards the bar's exit. I quickly rushed after her, the blonde and Emma staying out as I followed her out.

"Y/N, wait." I caught her wrist but she harshly yanked it out my grip.

"No. Jenna, what is with you lately? It's like ever since we started having sex, you've had some sort of... attachment to me. We're not dating, and we never will." Y/N spat in my face, anger on her face and in her eyes.

I went silent — dead silent. My eyes dropped to the ground, tears threatening to fall. "Good to know." I whispered distantly to her. I turned on my heel and began walking away from the girl, she called out to me, but everything fell upon deaf ears. I couldn't hear her, I didn't want to, but everything was getting blurry.

Emma found me as I collapsed back a wall near the alley. "Jenna, Jenna. Are you okay?" She immediately crouched down with cancer in her voice. I didn't say anything but fall forward in my best friend's arms, crying my heart out. Emma's never seen me cry like this — it was unusual so all she did was hold me and rub my back. Which was all I needed, all I wanted.

I didn't feel like talking and I didn't have the energy too. I don't even know how I'm going to be able to make the rest of this damn movie now knowing how Y/N truly feels.

Might as well kill me now.
