A/N: I am freezing my balls off rn y'all it's coldddd

I blasted Sailor Song throughout the house as I cleaned up. Jenna would be coming home soon, it was almost time for us to start packing, and we still had a few things to figure out which is why I need to talk to her.

"Afternoon, my beautiful girls." Jenna walked in, tossing her bag down so she could grab Juno from her play pen, lifting her up with a grin.

"Hi, baby." I stood up, leaning forward to kiss her lips softly. "How was work?"

"Good." Jenna smiled as she slightly tickled Juno. "How was your day?"

"I mostly cleaned. Been listening to Gigi Perez on loop." I sat down on the couch as Jenna placed Juno back in her play pen, the girl taking a seat beside me. "We have a few things to talk over."

"Yes boss." She gave me a toothless grin, nodding immediately. I cupped her chin, chuckling. God, she was cute.

"Okay, first off, what do we do about Banjo and Daisy? They can't come with us but I was thinking we either leave them with Lloyd or Dove or your parents."

"My parents might be the best option. Lloyd has been traveling a lot to join Tate on her tour, plus he's working in the oil field now so he comes home extra late, being gone most of the day. Dove has been busy too, I can tell. But my parents could watch them."

I rubbed her bicep. "Sounds good. Now, what about house duty?"

"Good question."

"I asked Gracie but she'll be gone for most of the week since she has her own tour going on but I did ask Hailee and she said she'd be happy to swing by and make sure the house is secure."

Jenna rested her head in my lap, sighing softly with her eyes closing. "Good, good. We have most of this worked out. Are you ready to travel again?"

"I think so." I ran my fingers through her hair, trailing my hands down to her neck to pick up her necklace with my initial. "Anything else we should consider?"

"I think we've pretty much got it covered."

Juno let out a soft whimper, attracting my attention as Jenna gently fell asleep in my lap. I watched over our daughter before relaxing back against the couch before Juno let out a loud cry, Jenna immediately sitting up with a harsh rub of her eyes.

"What's up?" My fiancé asked as I crouched down, lifting Juno up in the air. Her little hands reached for her ears, tears streaming down her cheeks and snot dripping from her tiny nose.

"I think she has an ear infection." I cradled her in my arms, trying my best to rock her and calm her cries down but it didn't work. "Can you call Liv? She has medicine and the stores are too far."

Jenna grabbed her phone, dialing Liv's number and explaining the situation to Liv. She hung up and looked at me. "She's not home, she's out of the city right now. Billie is home sleeping, I'm gonna drive over."

I watched her grab her keys and kiss my forehead, brushing back the tiny strands of thin hair Juno was starting to grow on her head. "Feel better, princess. I'll be back."

With that, Jenna walked out the door.

Juno's cries didn't calm down one bit. She was clearly experiencing pain she had never felt before and she doesn't know how to handle it so crying was her answer. I don't blame my sweet little girl, I just merely tried my best to help her feel better.

I placed a soft rag against the ear that seemed to hurt her the most. I placed her pacifier in her mouth and Juno still had tears streaming down her face but the screaming had stopped.

I gently laid her in the couch, keeping the rag firmly yet softly placed against her ear, I used my hands to gently wipe her tears. "Poor baby, huh? Your little ear hurts." I whispered, leaning close as she pressed her forehead against mine, her fingers reaching for my cheeks. "It's okay, baby. Mama's going to get you something to make it feel all better. For now, mommy is right here."

I suddenly got the idea of singing to her.

I lifted her back up, holding her by my arm as she rested her head against my shoulder. There was a peaceful silence other than her occasional sniffles and the sucking sounds of her pacifier.

I walked upstairs to one of the furthest rooms of Jenna's house and sat down at the piano she bought me. I used my free hand to play a few notes and softly sang.

"The evil it spread like a fever ahead
It was night when you died, my firefly
What could I have said to raise you from the dead? Oh could I be the sky on the Fourth of July? Well you do enough talk. My little hawk, why do you cry? Tell me what did you learn from the Tillamook burn? Or the Fourth of July? We're all gonna die.

Sitting at the bed with the halo at your head
Was it all a disguise, like Junior High
Where everything was fiction, future, and prediction. Now, where am I? My fading supply. Did you get enough love, my little dove
Why do you cry? And I'm sorry I left, but it was for the best Though it never felt right. My little Versailles."

When I finished singing, Juno was sleeping in my arms. I lowered the lid for the piano keys back down, keeping them covered and slowly left the room. When I came back downstairs, Jenna walked through the door, her keys jangling.

"Okay, I got-" she stopped talking when she saw Juno fast asleep. She set everything that was noisy down in the table, taking quiet steps towards me. "How- when- what?"

I chuckled quietly. "The power of music, my love." I ran my hand up her arm before kissing her cheek. "I'm going to lay her down, we can give her the medicine if she wakes up in the middle of the night, okay?"

"Yes ma'am." Jenna smiled, kissing Juno's forehead as she allowed me to go back upstairs, walking into our room. I walked towards her crib, gently laying her down in it. I caressed her soft face for a second before laying the lightweight blanket over her little body.

I came back downstairs to see Jenna sitting on the couch, her feet kicked up, Heart Stopper playing in the tv and a blanket thrown over her. "Come relax, my darling."

I smiled a little tiredly, immediately walking over to sit on the couch, curling into her side with my head on her chest, my eyes focused on the screen.

Nothing felt more... perfect.
