| Y/N's POV |

I was doing a little house work around my apartment this evening. Currently, I was working on dishes as Banjo jumped all over the place but finally settled on sitting on the ground beside where ever my feet were.

"What's up, shorty?" Billie walked in with two plastic grocery bags in her hands. "How you feeling today? Morning sickness?"

"Leave my wife alone." Jenna walked in with two bags of her own, her baseball cap covering a little of her face. "Sorry- girlfriend, I meant." She shrugged with a smile.

I blushed and walked over to them. "Hi, baby." I greeted Jenna with a slow, long kiss to her lips. We pulled away and she walked towards the kitchen to put their groceries away. Billie looked at me expectedly for my greeting towards her. I playfully rolled my eyes. "Hey, Bil-Bil."

"Wassup!" Billie grinned excitedly, wrapping her arms around me in a hug before pulling away to join us in the kitchen, hopping up on the counter with Banjo in her arms. "I heard y'all was going to determine what the sex of the baby is today."

"Yep." I sighed a little nervously. "Our appointment is at 6. I'm a little anxious to hear what she has to say. I hope everything is okay in here." My hands landed on my belly bump that became a little more appearing — not the biggest for 12 weeks though.

"Everything is going to be just fine." Jenna approached me with her hands in mine, looking deep into my eyes. "I promise." She whispered and I melted under her adoring gaze, kissing her to push her away so I didn't melt away into a puddle.

Billie smile. "I'm putting my bet on it being a boy."

"What does the rest of your family think?" I asked curiously, picking my furry son up from the counter, cradling him in my arms since he was still tiny.

"Finneas thinks it'll be a girl, mom wants it to be a girl, and dad is hoping for a boy like me." Billie answered as she hopped off the counter. "Speaking of families- have you told your mom yet?"

I stayed quiet for a little which made Jenna close the fridge, turning to me with soft eyes and Billie sat there with a knowing look on her face. "Baby-" Jenna tried talking but I cut her off.

"I just can't talk to her right now." I made my way into the living room. I sat down on the couch. Banjo must've sensed my spike in upset feelings since he nudged his head against my hand, practically lifting my arm on top of him.

"Y/N/N, she's your mom, you love her!" Billie tried convincing, sitting on the coffee table across from me.

"Hey, B." Jenna called out gently. "Can I have a moment alone with her?" Billie looked at her for a moment before nodding.

"Sure." She left the living room, leaving a pat on Jenna's back for good luck.

"My love-" Jenna sat beside me instead of across me, lightly pulling Banjo out of my arms to let him roam free so all my attention was on her. "I know how hard it is for you to go there and talk to her, especially with... him... there." She said that pronoun with such reduced anger, I just knew she wanted to kill him. "But, how about we go there together, yeah? I won't leave your side for anything and we can tell her together."

I didn't say anything for a moment, wanting to think things over. I was so terrified to tell my mom only because of my dad being there but if Jenna, my protector basically, was there, I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad.

"Yeah." I sniffled a little. "But only if you're there. My mom would love to meet you, anyway."

"Oh yeah?" Jenna smiled a little, admiring the way our fingers intertwined slowly in her lap.

"Totally. I just know that she'd love you for making me so happy." I admitted in a whisper, resting my tired head on Jenna's broad shoulder. I felt her arm wrap around my waist from behind, her soft lips pressing against my forehead.

"I'm so glad, Mi Amor. I love you so much." She whispered softly, pressing several kisses to my face. I instantly melted back into her arms and embrace, soaking up these gentle moments with her.

"I love you way more."

"How are we feeling today, Miss L/N?" The doctor, Reyes, greeted me with her usual kind smile. She rubbed the gel all over my belly, getting her scanner ready. Jenna stood beside where I was laying, tightly holding my hand.

"Not so bad." I chuckled and flinched back a little when I felt the coldness of the gel on my belly.

"Good, good." Reyes pressed her scanner up against my belly, lightly running it across as she stared at her screen. "Your baby is perfectly healthy, Y/N and Jenna. I'm proud of you for taking such good care of yourself and the baby."

"Thank you." I smiled genuinely, shaking Jenna's hand. "I couldn't have done it without her."

Jenna blushed from the attention and waved it off by kissing my forehead.

"Now-" Reyes took the scanner off, beginning to clean the gel up from my belly. "Are we interested in knowing the sex now or would we like it hidden in an envelope?"

I shared a look with Jenna, my girlfriend nodding lightly at me. "We'd like to know now, please."

"Alright then." Reyes chuckle, patting my stomach dry as I sat up in anticipation with Jenna's arm around my shoulders. "Congratulations, you're having a-"
