"Since everyone is doing their own thing-" Jenna started, clearing her throat as she sat down with her legs cross beside me on our bed. "I think it's time we give some thought into baby names. We don't know the gender yet but I think we should come up with our favorites for both possibilities."
I nodded with a smile. "Smart. You go first. Boy?"
"Ooh, that's a hard one." Jenna chuckled. "I didn't give too much thought into boy names but for a girl, I was thinking Luna because it sounds pretty or-or Allie because it's very similar to my mom's name and I love my mom."
I grinned with a giggle as she had that cute smile on her face. "Yes you do." I pecked her lips quickly. "I like those both but if we're looking for one similar to your mom's name, how about Nathan for a boy then? You know, Nathan is sort of the boy name for Natalie."
"Yeah, yeah, I like that a lot." Jenna nodded in thought. "Okay, how about you?"
"Well I've always liked the name Jasmine for a girl or Isabella but then I remembered how much I love my mom and Maggie." Jenna looked at me intrigued. "So I was thinking Mattie because one: it rhymes with Maggie and two: my mom's name is Madeline so it's basically short for that."
"I love that, baby." Jenna sighed happily, taking my hands in hers. "These are all great ideas. What about for a boy?"
"Well, I didn't have many father figures growing up or a father at all that I actually loved so this was hard to come up. But, I thought about it and the only one I seemed to like was Matteo."
Jenna gasped a little excitedly. "Ooh, I love that name. Matteo... I like it. A lot." She chuckled and I smiled uncontrollably at her eagerness. "Oh it's so crazy how we're having a baby."
"Yeah, but we are approaching our 8 months soon." I wiggled my brows at her as I kissed her cheek. "I have a few surprises for you."
"More vacations? This one is so relaxing already." Jenna joked lightly as she laid back on the bed. I mirrored her actions with a small laugh.
"Kind of? Not really, but my uh new single is coming out on our 8 month anniversary so I thought it would be really cute to have a dinner date at my place so I can play it for you and get your live reaction." I suggested in a soft whisper.
"I would absolutely love that." Jenna kissed my neck, resting her head on my chest as she threw her arm around my waist. We laid in silence for a while — it's been quite some time since we've been able to do this.
We're always busy with work, friends, our relationship, and our baby coming that we haven't had much time to just relax or have some time for just the two of us. The last time we went on a date was about a month and a half ago.
I'm already craving a new one.
I'm not mad about it or upset — I know both of your jobs are busy and even when we have free time, we're too tired to do anything. But we always nap together and even if it's not much, I'm happy nonetheless to spend that time with her.
I'm practically grateful about everything she does for me. And says. She's so amazing and perfect. I literally love her more than anything and I know she loves me just as much.
She always says more but don't believe her.
