| Jenna's POV |
A/N: play the song above for later in the chapter

"And that's a wrap! See you all tomorrow." Tyler, one of our directors, yelled with a grin on his face. He patted my back as he walked past me, leaving set with a few other set employees.

"I feel like we should do karaoke night." Melissa suggested. Choruses of agreements spread out across the cast. Y/N glanced at me with a smile on her face, approaching me slowly.

"You okay with that?" She whispered privately in my ear.

"Yeah, are you?" I asked her. Y/N nodded in response as Jasmin began jumping up and down.

"Let's go! Now we can all hear Y/N's angelic voice!" She pointed out and my eyes went wide in realization, Jasmin was absolutely right.

"No, no." Y/N laughed nervously, scratching the back of her neck. "I sound like a donkey, I'm good."

"Girl, we've all listened to at least one of your songs." Liana smirked down at Y/N who shyly fiddled with her fingers behind her back. "We know you're good at singing."

"If she doesn't want to, she doesn't have to." I jumped in, looking at Y/N who flashed a smile at me before shaking her head.

"No, it's okay, Jen. Sure, let's have a stupid karaoke night." She threw her hands up in reluctance while everyone else cheered. I caught up with Y/N as we followed the rest of the cast.

"Are you sure?" I double checked only for the girl to place her hand on my chest, pulling me back.

"I'm sure, babe." She beamed at me, kissing my cheeks. My heart raced against my chest. "Thanks for checking."

We all piled into Y/N's hotel room, Mason brought a shit ton of booze that we'd get drunk off so fast and Y/N, of course, provided the snacks.

"Okay, okay." Jack smiled as we all calmed down from our drunk laughter, throwing popcorn around and playing games. "I want Y/N to sing at least one of her songs before we play Never Have I Ever."

"God." Y/N groaned playfully, throwing her head back while everyone else laughed. I smiled and grabbed her hand, comfortingly running my thumb across her knuckles. "Fine, but I'm choosing the song." Y/N stood up, ruffling my hair as she walked by, scrolling on her Spotify to find the perfect song.

"I'm going to take a guess and say it's Jigsaw." Mason leaned over to whisper that secretly to me and Jack.

Jack nodded his head. "That or, like, Maniac."

"Shh." I shut them up by lightly hitting their knees as Y/N grabbed the mic for the karaoke machine. We all focused our attention on her — it was almost like we were all sobered up now.

Movies began playing, I sat up in my seat. I've listened to all her songs but I've, unfortunately, never heard her live so this will be interesting.

Movies, movies
I want a love like the movies

I look at you like you're perfect for me
If you are the diamond, then I am the ring
All of our friends think of us jealously
We're so sweet, so sweet
Built us a world and I gave you the key
Still can't believe that this isn't a dream
Falling in love with a damn fantasy
That's so me, so me

But I've been livin'
Life in fiction

In my head, we're dancing in the dark
In my head, we kiss under the stars
But we know that's not what we're doing
'Cause, baby, this ain't like the movies

Movies, movies
I want a love like the movies

We go to parties with people you know
We're holdin' hands but it's all just for show
'Cause Monday through Friday we both barely spoke
They don't know, they can't know
Like just on the drive here, I was lookin' through your texts
I was screamin' my damn head off how you still love your ex?
And you say that it's over, but why does she call you
At 3AM and 4AM? That's a funny way of stayin' friends

In my head, we're dancing in the dark
In my head, we kiss under the stars
But we know that's not what we're doing
'Cause, baby, this ain't like the movies
In my head, we never grow apart
In my head, you never break my heart
But we know that's not what we're doing
'Cause, baby, this ain't like the movies

Movies, movies
I want a love like the movies
Movies, movies
I want a love like the movies

Baby, we lost all this love that we have (movies, movies)
And I can't pretend that it'll never come back (I want a love like the movies)
And I think you're seeing right through me (movies, movies)
But, baby, this ain't like the movies

And I want a love like the movies

Y/N's voice was exhilarating, something that someone should treasure like it was their lifeline. This song had so many deep meanings - it could be interpreted in any way possible and I think that was Y/N's reasoning for making this. Obviously she made it for her own personal reasons, but the way the lyrics and music is in general, anyone of any sort of situation can relate to it.

That's what made Y/N's songs so good; she not only focused on her making it relatable to her, but she reached and touched her audience with them.

"I always forget how damn good your voice is." Devyn chuckled, raising her glass of champagne in the air. Everyone else smiled and exclaimed agreements towards Y/N who blushed at the attention.

"What is the meaning of the song in your opinion?" Mason folded his hands in his lap, focusing his attention on Y/N. The girl took a seat beside me, my eyes on her as well.

"I was in a 'relationship', I guess you could say. Some would say a PR, but I actually felt something for this stupid guy." She sighed sadly. "But, he just wasn't for me. He didn't want me like I wanted him, you know?"

"I get that." Liana raised her hand, leaning over to squeeze Y/N's thigh in a comforting manner. Everyone went about talking on their own. My body turned towards Y/N's, taking her hands in mine with a smile.

"I think your voice is angelic."

"Hm, you're not the only one, apparently." Her arms wrapped around my neck as she hummed that. "But, right now, your opinion is the only one that matters the most to me."
