(not proofread)We arrived in Atlanta after our last day in New York. Liv unfortunately couldn't stay with us and she caught a flight back this morning to LA. Billie spent the whole morning crying in my arms.
But she felt a little better once we landed in Atlanta, going to Starbucks to get some food in our stomachs. Mostly because she wanted matcha green tea latte. Zoe was ordering what we wanted inside the store while Billie and I stayed in the car.
"Have you and Jenna settled on a date yet? For the wedding?" Billie asked, placing her sunglasses on her head.
"Not officially. We were hoping for a time after Juno starts walking. Probably won't be for another few months or so." I leaned back looking out the window. "I am really excited though. All the planning is done."
"That's amazing, Y/N. I even got my wedding officiator's license." Billie smiled proudly with her pearly white teeth. She pulled out her wallet and showed me the license. "I had time to take classes and shit. There's some sort of script I gotta go by, but y'all know I won't 'cause I'm about to change it up as a special way for you two."
"That's sweet." I giggled as I examined the license. "And legitimate. Jenna will be pleased, she was still iffy on letting you do this."
"You said she changed her mind?!"
I scratched the back of my neck. "Well, I lied because you were already in enough pain back then with Liv so a little white lie was told to cheer you up." Billie gave me a deadpanned expression. "But now she's warmed up to it."
"Good 'cause I was doing this with or without her permission." My best friend smirked which made me playfully roll my eyes.
Zoe returned to the car, hopping in the backseat with our drinks. She handed me my lemonade and vanilla scones. Billie set her drink down after taking a satisfied sip before pulling out the parking lot and heading over to the hotel we were staying at.
"Y/N?" Zoe piped up from the back. "I have a question."
"Yes?"
"Who's going to be your bridesmaid? And who's going to give you away?"
I thought for a moment. "I'm still deciding between having Liv or Dove as my bridesmaid since this dumbass over here is officiating our wedding." Billie giggled when I pointed to her. "And my mom will give me away. She told me she would drive up to Los Angeles for my wedding and give me away down the aisle."
"That's adorable." Zoe smiled warmly. "And who's Jenna's bridesmaid or best man?"
"She's going to have Lloyd as her best man." I shrugged.
"Obviously." All three of us said at the same time, laughing.
"I'm pretty sure there was no doubt that Lloyd was gonna be Jenna's best man." Billie made a left turn, pulling into the secluded parking lot of the hotel. "It's just the most obvious thing ever."
"Literally."
We got out the car, grabbing our drinks and food as we made our way into the lobby. Billie pressed the button on the elevator when we walked inside, allowing us to get upstairs to the floor our rooms were on.
Zoe said 'bye' to us as she went to her room and like usual, Billie followed me into my room. I shut the door behind her, watching my best friend collapse on the bed.
"Can't lie, if I had a dick, I'd be jerking it to a picture of Liv." She blurted out which made me freeze in my tracks.
"Billie." I groaned as she chuckled. "We don't say shit like that out loud."
"Our friendship does not include TMI! You will hear all the weird and freaky thoughts that form in my brain!" Billie cackled, almost falling off the bed from how hard she was laughing.
"I hope you fall on the floor and break your nose." I blunted, making Billie laugh harder. She gasped for air and actually fell off the bed. Now I was the one laughing at my best friend whose feet remained on the bed while the rest of her body was on the floor.
"ASSHOLE!" She yelled, throwing up a lopsided middle finger.
I rolled my eyes, sticking my tongue out at her before placing some popcorn in the microwave. "Stand up, dumbass. Pick a movie for us to watch."
"Fine." I heard her grumble, standing up with a series of groans and grunts leaving her lips as she stood to her feet. "We're approaching Halloween so wanna watch a horror movie?"
"I usually watch them with Jenna so I can hide in her arms if I get scared, but I did the same with you when we were 12 so fuck it, why not?"
I grabbed the popcorn and poured it in a bowl, walking towards the bed where Billie laid. I sat beside her, our backs against the headboard. Billie clicked on Terrifier and wrapped her arm around my shoulders.
"Can you believe that you'll be getting married soon and someday I will too?" Billie brought up as the intro credits rolled in. "I mean, remember when we made that pact when we were 11 to marry each other if we didn't marry anyone by the age of 30?"
I laughed softly. "I remember! You said that you'd buy me the most expensive wedding dress, you would wear a tux, and Pepper would be our flower girl."
Billie smiled and looked at me. "Yeah I did." We stared at each other for a moment. "I would've kept that promise, by the way."
"I know, Bil." I laid my head on her shoulder, intertwining our fingers together. "We were, like, destined to be platonic soulmates."
"YES!" Billie cheered, making me laugh. "No one can convince me otherwise that we aren't soulmates in every lifetime."
"I agree." I sighed happily.
"And no one convince me otherwise that you and Jenna weren't meant to be in every universe."
I closed my eyes with a smile. "You're probably right, Bils. I really love her."
