| Y/N's POV |
I unfortunately had to fly back to Los Angeles today, Jenna had a few more days (possibly a week or two) to finally wrap Finest Kind. I couldn't stay there with her for too long since I still had some planning to do.
I spent about 2-3 hours in the studio with Billie and Olivia, then I spent an extra hour working on BIRDS OF A FEATHER with Billie. Ironically enough, we are not collabing on the song. Meaning I wasn't going to sing on the track but I was helping her write a little bit of it. She asked to help her on the chorus since she wanted the rest to be a surprise for me.
When we finished that, I took her back to my house where I knew Olivia would be too. I opened the door and we walked inside, my eyes laying on Liv who was eating one of my bananas.
"Hey, my banana." I exclaimed as I pointed at her.
Liv smiled, eating the last bite of it. "What banana?" She threw the peel behind her, hitting Billie in the chest. Liv slowly turned around to face Billie who gave her a deadpanned expression. "My bad?"
Billie smirked and grabbed Liv by her ankles, flipping her upside down. "Your bad?!" Liv laughed and gasped when Billie pretended to shake her up and down.
"Yes, yes! I'm sorry!" Liv screamed but she still had a smile on her face. I sat back and laughed as I watched my two best friends. "I'm sorry, Billie, I'll do anything! I'm sorry!"
"Hm." Billie hummed playfully. "I want ice cream."
"We can get that!" Liv yelled again, the blood rushing to her head. Her necklaces and hair dangled above her.
"Deal." Billie laughed and flipped her back over, gently tossing her on the couch. Liv sat up, looking a little dizzy but nonetheless, her smile never relented. "Let's go get ice cream."
"Let's." Liv agreed and I stood, grabbing Jenna's hoodie from my duffel bag and slipped it on. I grabbed my converse — the matching ones I had with Liv — and all three of us made our way out the door.
—————
"I do not want to try yours." I gently pushed Billie away as the three of us walked from the ice cream parlor.
"Why not?! It's cookie dough, you love cookie dough." Billie argued with a smile. Liv stood between us like our child and we're the parents arguing.
"But it's dairy free." I smirked in her face. "Does it even taste the same?"
"Uh, yeah?"
"You don't sound too sure." Liv piped up, enjoying the flavor of her boring strawberry ice cream.
"Shut up, you're a basic white girl." Billie joked with a laugh, ruffling Olivia's hair. The girl playfully glared at Billie who backed away with her hands up. "My back, chica."
"Aren't we all white girls?" I paused in my tracks, turning to my best friends who looked at me. They shrugged in unison, laughing alongside me as we continued to walk home.
"Oh, look at how pretty those flowers are." Liv pointed out the flowers at a stand by the street.
"I'll be back, here." I gave Billie my ice cream and lightly jogged to the stand. Jenna's favorite flowers were roses, ironically enough. We said that they were the basic symbol of romance and I couldn't blame her on that. Billie liked white poppies and Liv liked lilies. I got a bouquet for my girlfriend and a single flower for my friends.
When they caught up to me, I turned around and handed it to them after paying the man. "For us?" Billie asked, throwing her ice cream away in the trash, admiring the poppy.
"Yes." I nodded with a chuckle, holding the roses in my arm.
"I don't deserve you." Liv blinked back on tears, giving me a cute pout as she admired the lily in her hand.
"Awwww." With my free hand, I wrapped her up in a hug. I gestured for Billie to join and she did so with a laugh, a happy smile on her face.
"You're better than any boyfriend I've ever had." Billie stated, making me smile as I rubbed her shoulder.
"You really are." Liv agreed, kissing my cheek. "Best friend award goes to you."
"And girlfriend award." Billie smirked, glancing at the roses in my arm. "Jenna is lucky."
"Maybe, but I am too." I shrugged, ignoring how my heart was fluttering at the compliments my best friends showered me with. "I can't wait to have her back home with me."
Liv and Billie just smiled, wrapping their arms around me as we walked back home. I let them stay the night so I wasn't alone in my apartment. They slept in my guest room, Liv taking the bed while Billie chose my extremely comfy futon.
It was around 10 at night when I came downstairs for a glass of water. I heard the sound of my floor creaking. It made me freak out a little as I turned around to find no one there.
Just in case, I grabbed a small knife and slipped up the sleeve of my pajama shirt. I cornered myself, making sure no one could grab me from behind.
It was raining and storming outside. I saw the lighting flash outside my window, I gasped with fear when a figure appeared out there but as soon as the light flashed again, they weren't there anymore.
"Hey." I screamed again when Billie came downstairs. She was just wearing her boxers and an oversized shirt. "Yo, you good, ma? What's wrong?"
"T-there was- was someone..." I couldn't get my words out since we were both interrupted by a loud knock on the door. Billie looked at my panicked state. She gave me a comforting kiss on my forehead, bringing me with her to make sure I was safe. I gave her the knife I had while she also grabbed a metal baseball bat. She looked through the peep hole.
"No one is out there. Could be ding dong ditch." She turned to me, rubbing my arm. "You okay?"
"No." I shook my head, suddenly feeling nauseous. There was another knock on the door and when Billie and I looked through the peep hole again, all we saw was the mystery figure's face right in front of it. Almost staring back at us.
"Fuck." Billie jumped back, her protective instincts kicking in as she pulled me against her.
"What's going on?" Liv ran downstairs, rapidly wrapping a robe around herself.
"Some fucker is outside." I watched Billie pull her sweats on, grabbing the bag again.
"Billie, no-" She gave Liv and I comforting kisses on our foreheads before opening the door, taking the mystery figure by surprise as she slammed the metal bat into their ankle. They let out a loud scream and that's when I saw Jenna's car pull up in the driveway.
"What is Jen doing here?" Liv asked as she helped me pull Billie off of the man.
"What the hell?" Jenna approached us, glancing between us and the figure on the ground, holding their ankle in pain.
"Dumbass decided to fuck around with the wrong people." Billie went to slam the bat at him again but I stopped her, pulling her back inside.
Jenna held him down when they tried standing up. She yanked their mask off and we all let out a gasp, backing away from them.
"No way..."
