| Y/N's POV |
A/N: meat man mentioned ⁉️"Can I be completely honest? 'Cause I just chose clay 'cause I haven't touched clay in 12 years. But I think you may have overestimated my... abilities." Jenna started our interview off with a sheepish grin, making me giggle and grab her hand. "Oh I'm gonna figure it out, but just so you know, like I don't even know what that means." She spun the little holder with the block of clay on it.
"I stand by everything she just said." Jenna snorted at my words. "I very much suck as well, it's tragic, actually."
The intro began and once we were told 'action', Jenna started the introduction. "Hi, I'm Jenna Ortega."
"I'm Y/N L/N." I smiled with a wave.
"And today, we're going to attempt a self portrait with clay." Jenna said, muttering a bit uneasy since she was questioning her skills. Jenna started by pushing the tools aside, I leaned back in my chair and let her work her magic first. "Who is this metal man?"
"Who is it?"
"Yeah, what does he do?" Jenna asked the worker from behind the camera. Jenna grabbed the metal man and dragged it over to bring it closer to her. "This is my guy."
I giggled. One of the crew members brought me my own. "Ooh, I get one too? Lovely, mine is a girl then."
"They'll get married. Like us." Jenna charmed in a charismatic manner. I rolled my eyes with a grin and pecked her cheek as I adjusted my metal woman. "Here we go."
What was the first performance you saw that made you want to be an actor?
"I had to have been 6 or 7, my parents weren't home, they're either at work or back to school night or something so my brother and sister was watching me. And she was watching the movie 'Man on Fire' with Marc Anthony and Dakota Fanning and Denzel Washington. And I saw young Dakota in that movie, her performance makes me so emotional and I felt so invested in her character and her story and what happened that it made me want to do that. Her performance's were always so mature, she felt like a grown woman trapped in this tiny, you know, sweet little girl's body and mind and imagination that I think I was just captivated by her. She was so fascinating. As someone who is close to my age, I just kinda clung onto her 'cause I thought she was the coolest. When my parents came home, I told them, I said 'you know that movie Man on Fire?' and they said, 'why were you watching Man on Fire?' and I said, 'I'm gonna be the Puerto Rican version of Dakota Fanning'. And then they laughed and then we all went to bed and forgot about it. Or at least they did, then I just kind of harassed them for years and years until they let me do it." Jenna rambled, making me smile uncontrollably. Yeah, I scored me an amazing yapper. She can talk for hours and hours and hours.
I love it.
"For me, I believe it was watching Jaws and the excitement or thrill of being put in Roy Schneider's place really uplifted me." I began my epilogue, accepting the clay that Jenna passed me. "I think all of the Jaws movies were such big inspirations to make me want to become an actor. That and seeing Pitch Perfect 2 for the first time. My mom never had the first movie but she had the second on DVD and she put it in for me when I was little and the second I saw Hailee, you know, walk on camera, I was so just in awe. I wanted to do everything she did and look like she did. So I told my mom, 'hey, I want to be actress'." I looked at the camera with a smile. "She said I can do anything I put my heart to and immediately enlisted me in acting classes when I was 8 ish. It was cool."
