Regardless of my feelings

Amy's POV:

I hopped out of the shower feeling refreshed and anew this morning. As I finished lathering my body up with lotion I quickly decided to do the same skin care and light makeup that I did yesterday.

Once I'm done with my makeup I decided to freshen up my blow out from yesterday with adding a bit more volume. Once done I start to get dressed and am pleased with my choice once I've placed it together.

I'm wearing a navy blue crew sweater tee, with a pair of navy blue trousers, finishing it off with a taupe colored flats. The shirt has breathable fabric which is great considering summer is almost over.

Thank goodness summer is almost over. I personally don't appreciate summer the way others do. I've always said that summer is more for kids. When you're an adult and you have work all through summer it no longer becomes fun.

I make sure to spray myself with some perfume and quickly grab my purse.

"Good morning" I say to Mikayla as she's walking into the kitchen at the same as me.

"You look beautiful today!" I state to her as I admire her stunningly two twoned sleeveless pleated dress. The cream color on top with the pleats being white at the bottom of the dress.

"Good morning! Thank you so much Amy! & may I add you look amazing as well! She responds.

"We should just grab some Starbucks on the way. What do you think?" She continues.

"Yeah that's fine with me but I'm buying!" I quickly call out to her.

Mikayla immediately begins to laugh before responding. "That's fine with me. But you're driving in your brand new fancy car that was gifted to you by none other than Mr. Anderson!" She finishes with a big smile.

"Absolutely not." I respond.

"Come on Amy you can't disregard his gift! Now enough, grab your keys and let's go." She mentions while shooing me out of the door.

I realize I never unloaded my purse yesterday and therefore, everything is still in there.

"Fine." I say mentally resigned, knowing I won't win this battle with her.

As we ride the elevator Mikayla continues to inform me about her conversation with Josh and how they plan to have a date night on Thursday evening. She chose this day because she wanted to make sure she was free for our outing on Friday.

I laughed at the comment as we walked off the elevator into the parking and take notice that the car is indeed parked out front.

I am once again met with shock! This car is absolutely stunning! So sophisticated and I cannot believe he gifted me this car. This is insane. How did this come to be.

Mikayla is gushing over the car as we walk up to it. And I can't help but also smile at the car.

"Well come on girly! Let's get this baby on the road." She says excitedly.

I unlock the car and slide into the driver's seat just as Mikayla gets into the passenger side.

"Wow." Is all I can muster.

"Wow indeed." She responds.

The inside is so sleek and so smooth with an elegant cream and black colored combo across the entire interior, to include having cream colored seats to match.

I press the turn on button and the engine comes to life with such ease.

"This is incredible Amy! I've always loved these cars!" She mentions as she's putting on her seatbelt to which I follow suit.
