Amy's POV
As we step out of the Tahoe I can't help but stop and admire the massive building that's in front of us.
"This is his home?" I question.
"Well yes, he owns the entire building but he lives at the top in the penthouse. It's comprised of the last three floors converted into one penthouse." Mikayla informs me.
Wow. Is all I can think as we start walking in to the massive building.
"You ladies look absolutely stunning may I add!" I say to the both of them to which they both smile in return.
"Thank you Amy! But you're the show stopper tonight. Ms. Vision in white!" Violet mentions to me which causes me to laugh.
"Agreed. You are a true vision tonight!" Mikayla chimes in.
"Thank you ladies, let's hope we only have to endure this event for a little while so that we can get back to our girls night tonight." I say to them.
As we enter the elevator I feel my clutch vibrate and I take this time to check my phone. I quickly notice that it is a message from Mia.
"Hey Amy, I hope all is well. Please let me know if we're still on for our dinner tomorrow evening?"
Once again I forgot that I had also agreed to this as well. I'm not sure what has gotten into me these past few days that I've been so busy and incapable of remembering these events that I've agreed to. It must have been the move!
Since Mia and I spoke, she was officially discharged from the hospital to which I was there for. I was able to drive her home and we chatted a bit but of course there was still some unresolved tension there since the last time we spoke and everything that unfolded with Julian. Upon dropping her off we agreed to have dinner and catch up this Saturday, but most importantly for us to discuss how things went down.
"Absolutely! 5:30pm at the RH rooftop restaurant correct?" I sent a message back to her in response.
"That's correct. What's the dress code?" She responded.
Mia's mention of the dress code instantly took me back to our time living together and how we always had to establish the dress code before us going out. This way we would always make sure we matched the energy for the night. Bittersweet memories invaded my mind as I responded back to her. I don't know how long it will take for us to go 'back to normal', if that's even possible at this point but I'm willing to try and put this behind us. Even though she hurt me deeply, and although I don't think I could live her with again, atleast not right now due to what happened; I still hope we can repair what we had.
"Let's do cocktail formal! It is a nice restaurant after all! I messaged her back.
"Agreed! See you then!" Mia replied to which I hearted her message just as the elevator doors opened before us.
I am in awe as we step off of the elevator. There is music playing while there are several people mingling around and talking with drinks in their hand. Instantly you are met with the most stunning view of the Manhattan skyline through the view of gorgeous tall paned glass windows overlooking the city. A primary living room area is seen to the left with a beautiful white sectional sofa seeming as though it is more of an art piece than a sitting area. Aside from the stunning view you also see the marble white floors adorning the tall ceilings that reflect a white and gold accent. The area is absolutely massive while you can still see a huge open space with waiters walking around offering people what seems to be champagne. To the far right you are met with a stunning mahogany wood style bar with it fully stocked. There was still so much to see and take in but I'm instantly pulled away by Violet.
