Amy's POV:
A week had passed by so quickly that I hadn't realized that today was the Gala.
Of course the amnesia was short lived thanks to Mikayla and Violet who stormed into my office practically begging me to be finished with my work.
I nearly dropped my iced coffee when they barged into my office but I quickly recovered by staring at them with a glare.
"Ugh come on Amelia it's time for us to start getting ready for the Gala!" Mikayla states rather excited to get the process started.
I stand up from my desk and give them a smile.
"Plus it's Saturday we should be home gathering our last minute things for tonight not finishing up work." Violet inputs as she lifts her left arm and motions with her right hand to the watch as if signaling me to hurry up.
I chuckle while locking my computer.
"Righttt" I say while laughing "Because you lot over here on the rich side start getting ready for a party as soon as the sun comes up." As I grab my purse I take one last look around to make sure I have finished everything that I came in to finish.
"First off it's not a party it's a Gala, Second we're not rich the only one who is stinkin' rich is Mr. Anderson and the dreadful Caroline." Violet finishes with a sour look on her face at the mention of Caroline's name.
Mikayla shakes her head in agreement.
"Plus we prefer the term comfortable." Mikayla finishes while chuckling and mocking a Caroline accent.
We all burst out into laughter as we can all relate to having experienced the type of person that Caroline really is.
As I lock my door I focus on heading towards the elevator.
As the girls revert back to talking about tonight I run through my mental agenda of everything I have to do for today.
I only came in to work today simply to get the last few touches for tonight's Gala ready, apparently I became a bit more than absorbed with the work and I ended up finishing a week's worth of work done ahead of it's time.
Feeling accomplished with my work a small smile forms on my face as I also feel a tad bit excited for tonight considering this entire Gala has been orchestrated by the three of us, meaning my name is on the line as well.
As the elevator door pings open, out steps the other annoying woman who constantly makes it her mission to bother me.
"Well well well, look what the cat dragged in." Cristina comments while eyeing me up and down.
I immediately roll my eyes hoping she would move out of the way seeming as though she is in the way of us getting onto the elevator.
As it becomes inevitably clear that she isn't going to move I grow impatient by the second.
"Why are you even here Cristina, you NEVER come in on Saturdays let alone the day of a Gala?" Mikayla questions which raises my eyebrow.
I stare intently at her and for a brief second and just a brief one I notice a sense of fear in her eyes but as soon as I blink it's gone.
As if it was never there.
She changes the look on her face to satisfaction as her eyes lock on mine.
"Mr. Anderson asked me personally to retrieve a few things saying he doesn't trust certain people to get the job done. " Cristina finishes off very satisfied with her comment while walking past me but not before bumping my shoulder.
