Amy's POV:

Just then I look up at Mia who seems to have been waiting for me to respond to her.

"Mia, I won't lie that you leaving that night with Paul and not letting me know, was definitely not the highlight of my night nor was it okay. But that was a long time ago. I appreciate you for apologizing and I accept it but the events that took place that night wasn't because of you or what you did. I'm sure Julian would have shown his true colors in that way at some point in time. I'm just grateful that I am okay and that nothing happened that night." I say to her.

"I really am sorry Amelia." Mia responded once more. She only ever used my whole name when she was serious and I knew this night was no different.

"I forgive you Mia. I do." I respond back to her with a small smile letting her know it is okay to move on.

"Okay, let's not continue regurgitating the past and let's start living for the future." I say to her as I raise my glass for a toast.

She follows suit with a smile plastered on her face seeming as though she's been needing this night for a long time now.

*******

After we finish our meal we ordered a few more drinks and were laughing at the latest drama that was occurring at the office.

I was filling Mia in with the latest on what's happened since her and I stopped talking and she could not believe at how much has happened since then. Most importantly she was shocked at how much time has passed, by now it has been three months since I started working at Anderson Corporation. Which I myself could not believe it as well but extremely grateful for where I am now.

Mia had also caught me up on her life lately and having moved back to New York after living with my mom. She mentioned her job was extremely happy to have her back and how grateful she was that they had saved her spot due to the circumstances she was experiencing. She also found a new place that she recently moved into during this past week while Mikayla was opening up the sister property.

I was happy for her. I truly was. I was extremely thankful that we were back in each other's lives again and although I don't think we'd ever live together again, because that chapter was now closed, I did think that somehow her and I were in a much better place now within our friendship. The best it has ever been, almost as if we're a better version of our selves in our friendship now, despite the short time that it has occurred in.

Sometimes life circumstances force people to grow into a new version of themselves that transforms their life completely. And that is what I feel like happened to the both of us.

"We need to set up another night out like this but with your new friends at work. I would absolutely love to get to know Mikayla and Violet a little more. They seem like so much fun." Mia stated while taking a sip of her drink.

"Oh absolutely, we should set up a girls night. Considering last night's outing didn't go so well." I say to her while her and I burst out into laughter reminiscing what I told her happened on stage with Caroline and Christina.

Just as we're laughing uncontrollably I notice Mia's eyes trail somewhere and instantly she stops laughing and I can't help but take notice of this. She instantly looks back at me.

"Oh my god. You will not be believe who is currently heading over to us right now as we speak." She says with a little bit of a nervous laughter behind.

I suddenly straighten up and am completely wracking my brain thinking of who she could be talking about.

"Who? What are you talking about?" I say to her rather nervously.
