My mistake

Amy's POV:

As I enter the exquisitely sleek restaurant I inform the hostess that I am meeting with my friends a party of four. She quickly nods her head and motions for me to follow her.

Soon enough I can see Mikayla and Violet sitting next to each other while Mia's back is facing me.

I see them waving at me just as Mia turns around and also smiles at me.

I approach the table and Mia stands up first to greet me and I also go to greet the other ladies as well.

"She's alive!" Mikayla states as we're all laughing while lowering ourselves into our seats.

"Thank goodness you're okay!" Violet comments shortly after with a slight bit of concern on her face.

"I'm still shocked at how this all unfolded while Liam and I were walking out of the club. It was absolute torture trying to get back in there after the fight ensued. I'm just glad you're okay Amy. I'm so sorry!" Mia says to me with an apologetic smile.

"It's okay Mia you couldn't have known, I saw how far ahead away you guys were by the time that he pulled me back. And thank you ladies for caring about me, I truly appreciate it. Especially with you ladies setting up this lunch." I say to them, feeling extremely happy that I'm here with them. It feels like I haven't seen them in ages.

Clearly being near Mr. dark and dangerous, it time seems as though time moves around you and not with you.

1 hour later

3 rounds of drinks in, 2 appetizers, and one complete breakdown of the night in question later, the ladies are shocked and utterly disgusted with Julian's actions from that night.

Mikayla and Violet's expression were very solemn as I finished my story.

"And that's not even everything that I have to share with you ladies." I say to them as I take suck in a huge breath of fresh air.

"Ohh?" Mia says as she looks at me confused.

I specifically turn to look at her before continuing because I know this more or so pertains to her rather than the other ladies.

"I ran into Aiden today."

Mia's eyes grow wide.

"Aiden? From college?" She questions rather quickly.

"Yes. I was in a store earlier shopping and when I walked out he almost ran me over. Actually we bumped into each other. He said that he moved here a couple of months ago, and he also mentioned how he's no longer with Ashley due to the long distance." I fill her in as I'm watching her reaction.

"This is absolutely insane. I can't believe they broke up or the fact that he lives here now." She says to me while still sounding rather shocked at the news.

"That's not all. He's also asked for us to hang out one of these nights at dinner just like 'old times'." I say to her with air quotes on the old times portion.

"Very interesting." She replied with a dubious look on her face.

"Who's Aiden?" Violet says to us while breaking the link between Mia and I as we were both telepathically communicating to one another trying to decipher this whole situation with Aiden.

"Aiden was Amy's boyfriend back when we were in college. We were long time friends with him since high school. When we all graduated he moved to Connecticut to pursue him becoming a professor. He met his girlfriend Ashley there at the time and he proposed to her and all." Mia fills Mikayla and Violet in just as the waiter approached ready to take our order.
