Get over it

Amy's POV:

"Okay well enough of the sappiness!" Mikayla finishes wiping some tears away from her eyes while laughing at her own statement! "What are we wearing for tonight?"

As I finish wiping my tears away and calming down from our laughing session; I look at her dubiously.

"Ready for...?" I ask quite hesitantly.  "I was about to take a shower and lay down early for the evening."

Mikayla stares at me incredulously before bursting out into laughter.

"Did you forget that we have plans tonight? We agreed to it right before I went to go work on the sister property." Mikayla finishes with an incredulous look on her face, almost as if to wonder how could I have forgotten.

As I realize what she is referring to, I instantly, begin to dread the idea of going out tonight. This is only because I had already planned staying in tonight and getting comfortable on my brand new couch and watching most of my comfort movies.

"You forgot didn't you." Mikayla states as a matter of fact. "Well Amy, you're gonna have to think of what to wear because Violet has also agreed to go out with us tonight and we need you with us tonight to go over everything that happened this week!"

I mentally resign knowing there is no use and I already did agree to go out with them this weekend. I don't want to let them down as I have already made plans with them.

"No you're absolutely right, I did agree to go out with you ladies! & I'm absolutely looking forward to it! So tell me what time are we leaving? And what is the dress code?" I say to Mikayla and instantly noticing her mood lifting at my decision to go out.

I'm sure she wouldn't have minded if I expressed to her that I truly did just want to relax tonight but I also would have felt bad because I did agree to go out already. I don't like to go back on my word unless something serious comes between it.

I'll make sure I stay home tomorrow since it'll be Saturday and then i'll also have Sunday as well to recuperate and enjoy my new home.

Before Mikayla could answer we hear a knock at my door.

"That's Violet, I gave her your apartment number!" She says as she goes to open up the door.

"I'm glad she's here." I say to her as I walk to the back of the island to grab three water bottles out of my fridge and place them on the counter.

"Hey ladies!" Violet mentions as she walks in with various expensive shopping bags in her arms.

"Heyyy" Mikayla and I respond accidentally in unison when responding back.

After we exchange hugs I offer the ladies their water bottles and they take it.

They start mentioning how lovely the place looks and they ask me to give them a tour; to which I proceed to do.

"Wow Amy! Your apartment is stunning! You have great taste!" Violet mentions.

"Thank you so much Vi. I appreciate it and thank you once again Mikayla! Your landlord was so kind to let me pick whatever I wanted with regard to the furniture he gifted me. They were all brand new high fashion furniture pieces!"
