Year 6 (Summer)- Ch.162

The last few weeks staying at the Everhart Manor had not been very eventful, at least not as eventful as her first day of summer. A lot of flying on her broom, a lot of reading, and a lot of letters. She had been writing back and forth with Daphne and Tracey, just as they promised they send a letter weekly. Though Daphne still thinks that they should send letters every few days, but the other two girls convinced her that their poor owls will fly away if they made them do more work than they are already.

Daphne was currently in Switzerland with her family for the entire break, saying it was a sponateous trip, but her and her younger sister have been thoroughly enjoying the change of scenery. Céline kept forgetting that Daphne has a younger sister, shes two years younger than them, also in Slytherin. Astoria was her name she believed. She thought that Astoria can choose better friends, seeing that she hung around Pansy's crew.

Tracey was also traveling with her family and were currently in Ireland and said to return back to London in the beginning of August. Céline has been looking forward to their letters, they've made it feel a little less lonely. Even though she had Telly back in the house, which in the beginning was a little awkward for Céline, but slowly, they began talking again, having longer and more enjoyable converations like they use to.

Harry had also sent a letter to her, asking how she was doing and telling her how he had gone to The Burrow after Dumbledore came to get him. Before that, his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia seem to be treating him decently. He thinks his cousin was a bit scared of Céline after her little threat she told him at the station. Harry has mentioned that his cousin hasn't been bothering him, which Céline was happy to hear. Hermione has been sending letters back and forth with her as frequently as Daphne and Tracey. She'd been enjoying her free time reading a bunch of text books about healing potion, when she was not spending time with her parents. Hermione had told her only a fortnight after returning home, she had gone to stay at The Burrow to spend it there for the remaining time of the summer. Ron said that his house has been hectic now that Harry and Hermione had arrived. The twin's business has been really boombing and that they would definitely go and visit the shop when she would come to stay with them.

Céline couldn't help but feel a bit jealous that her friends were together already and she was still at the manor, but she quickly sighed and disregarded the thought, because it was her choice. She could go to The Burrow at any point, but is choosing not to, to which she is starting to question why.

An owl approached her balcony as she was reading out on it one late afternoon. It wasn't one she recognized. The pretty Barred Owl perched its self on her balcony rails, sticking his foot that was holding a letter. She took the letter and gave the owl a biscuit, which she now made sure to keep next to her wherever she was. The owl hooted its thanks and flew off.

Céline looked at the letter trying to see if she knew whose thin and slanted script it belonged to. Since she couldn't figure it out she decided she might as well open it, because the sender's name would surely be in the letter. She unfolded the letter and read:

To Miss Céline Everhart,

I hope this letter finds you well.
I am most grateful  for your sending of an owl with your decision to testify. My apologies for only getting back to you now.

I will come for you, at Everhart Manor in Glouchestershire, to escort you to the Ministry of Magic for the trail against your father, Charles Everhart, on July twenty-nineth at eight in the morning. I know you may feel anxious, but please know that I will be there with you the entire time. I will also be escorting you to The Burrow, where you have been invited to spend the remainder of your summer holiday, once your presence is no longer needed at the Ministry.
