Harry chased after Bellatrix, seeing red, after witnesses the death of Sirius. He chased her through the brain room, jumping over Luna who was gaining consciousness, past Ginny who called after him, and past Ron who lay on the floor giggling to himself still.
When he ran into the black circular corridor, Bellatrix was already across the room, running through the open door that lead to the lifts. The door slams shut before he could reach it, making the wall begin to spin around.
Out of frustration he yelled out, "which way is the exit!" And as if the corridor had been waiting for him to ask, the door to his right swung open revealing the lifts. He hurriedly made his way to it, desperately pushing the button. The lift came and he made his way in, pressing the button that lead back to the Atrium.
While waiting to get there, he could feel the rage radiating off of him. He was angry.
Angry for many different reasons, but his current focus of fury was Bellatrix. He squeezed himself through the golden grilles before they fully opened. He ran out and saw Bellatrix almost to the other side of the Atrium, near the telephone box lift.
As he reached the Fountain of Magical Brethren, he dove behind it, as Bellatrix shot a spell at him. He hid and listened, there were no more footsteps. She stopped. He crouched behind the statues, listening carefully for any movements.
"Come out, come out, little Harry!" She called for him in a mocking baby voice, but he stayed put. "Why did you come after me, then? If it's not to avenge my dear cousin?"
"I am!" He shouted, his voice echoing in layers in the ample room.
"Ooooh, did you love my cousin, little baby Potter?" She cackled.
He felt his hatred for her overtake him as he flung out from behind the statues, pointing his wand at her, "Crucio!"
Bellatrix screamed as the spell knocked her off her feet. But it did only that. It didn't make her twitch and writhe in pain like it had Céline. She had already rose to her feet again, no longer laughing as she was moments ago. He dove behind the fountain again, just as her coutnerspell flew toward him, hitting the head of the wizard statue instead. The golden head blew off, twenty feet away from Harry.
"Your righteous anger won't hurt me for long, Potter!" She yelled, no longer in a mocking tone. "You need to mean it when you cast that curse. Feel it with every fiber of your being— and enjoy it! I can show you how it's done! Give you a lesson!"
Harry ducked his head again as she screamed, "Crucio!" The spell missed and hit the statue of the centaur's arm broke off and flew, landing near the wizard head.
"Potter, you cannot win against me!" She shouted. He could hear her move right, so he moved to now to be hiding behind the Centaur's leg. "I was and am, the Dark Lords most loyal servant!"
Harry moved around the golden goblin statue to get a clear aim at her back as she looked around the other side of the fountain.
"Stupefy!" He yelled, but she was too fast.
"Protego!"
His spell deflected off and came back toward him. He ducked in time for his spell to his the ear of the goblin.
"I'm going to give you one last chance, Potter." She shouted. "Give me the prophecy— roll it out to me now, and I may let you live."
"Well you're going to have to kill me, then, because the prophecy is gone!" He yelled. He felt his scar start to throb. The searing pain almost blinding. He knew. This is what it meant. "And he knows! Voldemort knows it's gone! He's not going to be very happy with you, is he?"
