Madame Hooch blew her whistle and released the balls. Both teams took off into the air.
"And it's Johnson, Johnson with the Quaffle," Lee Jordan was commentating the match, "what a player that girl is. I've been saying it for years, but she still won't go out with me—"
"JORDAN!" yelled Professor McGonagall. Céline couldn't help but laugh.
"Just a fun fact, Professor, adds a bit of interest— and she ducked Warrington, she's passed Montague, she's — ouch— been hit from the back by a Bludger from Crabbe.... Montague catches the Quaffle, Montague heading back up the pitch and — that's a nice Bludger from George Weasley, that's a Bludger to the head from Montague." Céline winced when she saw it come into contact with Graham Montague's head. She cheered for George, she was fine to cheer for both teams since she wasn't sitting with her housemates, and even then it was so loud from all the cheering and booing, her voice just blended into the crowds.
"Katie Bell catches the Quaffle, Katie Bell reverse passes to Alicia Spinnet, and Spinnet's away and—" Alicia weaves and dodges from away from Slytherin players and Bludgers. "And the crowds are loving this, what are they singing?"
It was only then, that Céline started hearing the chants coming from the Slytherin stands. She had been so focused on the game that she hadn't noticed. She frowned when she heard the words, realizing that this was the 'surprise' Pansy had in store Ron.
The Slytherin section of the stands sang loud and clear:
Weasley cannot save a thing, He cannot block a single ring, That's why Slytherins all sing: Weasley is our King.
Weasley was born in a bin, He always lets the Quaffle in, Weasley will make sure we win, Weasley is our King.
"They're relentless." Tracey said scowling at Pansy who was conducting the Slytherin students from the front row.
"—and Alicia passes it back to Angelina!" Lee Jordan's voice rang again, Céline's head whipped back to the pitch, trying to see what was going on. "Come on Angelina! Looks like she's got just the Keeper to beat! — SHE SHOOTS — SHE — aaah..."
Miles Bletchley, the Slytherin Keeper, had saved the goal, passing the Quaffle to Warrington, who took off with it, weaving through Katie Bell and Alicia Spinnet.
Céline was deeply frowning now, as the singing grew louder and louder as Warrington got closer to Ron, she looked to Ron who had turned pale as he came rocketing toward him. Ron had his arms stretched out wide, and the ball went straight through them into Ron's center hoop. Céline groaned in disappointment.
"YOU CAN DO IT RON!" She yelled as loudly as she could, though fruitless over the cheering and loud singing next to her.
"— Gryffindor back in possession of the ball, Katie Bell tanking up the pitch —" cried Lee Jordan, trying to drown out the chants.
Harry who had been floating in the same spot just watching everything go down for the last minute was yelled at by Angelina who passed by, "Harry, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" She screamed, "GET GOING!"
That reeled him back in and he dove and began circling the pitch in search for the snitch. He saw Draco on the other side doing the same. At some point Draco was flying next to him, and Harry thought he was going to be chanting along with the others, but instead Draco looked at him dead in the face,
"Hey Potter!" He yelled, frowning at him, "As much as I hate to say it, you need to stop being a prat and start talking to Céline again!"
That completely threw Harry off, it was the last thing he thought Draco would be saying in the middle of a match.
