The group, exhausted from the intense mission and the adrenaline crash, sits in the common area for a quick debrief. Kaminari, still recovering from his mild injury, leans back in his chair with a tired grin, while Kirishima and Sero look equally worn out but satisfied with the mission's success.
"Mission accomplished," Kaminari says with a weak smile, wincing as he shifts in his seat. "That was a close one though."
Rose, still feeling the strain from transferring her energy to Kaminari, gives a tired nod. "Yeah, we pulled it off. Barely."
Bakugo stands with his arms crossed, his eyes scanning the group. Despite their success, something gnaws at him. He can't shake the feeling that something is off. "We hit them hard, but they might hit back harder," he thinks, frowning. "Everyone get some damn rest. We'll regroup tomorrow."
As the debrief wraps up, the group heads to their respective rooms. Kaminari limps slightly but gives a thumbs-up to the rest of the team, while Kirishima pats him on the back. Rose, drained from the mission and the energy transfer, heads to her room without saying much, her exhaustion catching up to her.
She collapses onto her bed, her body heavy with fatigue. "Just need a few hours of sleep," she thinks, closing her eyes. "Then I'll feel better."
Bakugo lingers in the common area for a moment, his eyes narrowing as he glances toward Rose's room. He feels unsettled—something about the quiet feels wrong, like a storm about to break. "Get a grip, Bakugo," he tells himself. "It's just your nerves." But deep down, he knows something is off.
Just as the group begins to settle in for the night, Bakugo's security system starts to blare, a harsh alarm cutting through the silence. Bakugo's instincts kick in, and he immediately senses danger. The air feels heavy, thick with the feeling of an ambush.
"Shit," he thinks, his heart racing as he bolts up. He doesn't waste a second, sprinting toward Rose's room. "Rosalia."
But before he can reach her, the door to the hideout bursts open, and heroes flood in, their uniforms gleaming under the dim lights. The raid has begun.
Heroes storm the hideout, moving in with precision and force. Bakugo skids to a halt, his palms already crackling with explosions as he prepares to fight back. "You picked the wrong place to raid, dumbasses," he growls, launching himself at the nearest hero with a powerful blast.
The hideout descends into chaos as the heroes move in, and the group springs into action. Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero immediately jump into the fray, but the fight is fast and brutal, with heroes coming from every direction.
Kirishima hardens his skin, blocking a hero's attack with a loud grunt. "There's too many of them! We've gotta move!"
Kaminari, still recovering from his earlier injury, struggles to keep up but fires off a burst of electricity at one of the heroes. "We need to get out of here!" he shouts, his voice strained with effort.
Sero swings in with his tape, pulling Kaminari out of the way just as another hero charges. "We've gotta get to the meet-up spot! Now!"
Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero fight their way through the heroes, managing to break free from the chaos. They know the plan—they've rehearsed it for this very scenario. If a raid ever happened, they had a secret meet-up spot where they could regroup.
"Let's go!" Kirishima shouts, leading the way as the group makes a break for it, dodging through the alleyways and slipping away into the night. Kaminari limps slightly, still feeling the effects of his earlier injury, but they manage to make it to the safe spot.
As the group catches their breath, Kirishima glances back toward the direction of the hideout, frowning. "Bakugo's still in there."
Kaminari speaks with a worried tone, "And Rose, dammit."
Meanwhile, inside the hideout, Bakugo fights his way through the heroes, explosions lighting up the darkened room. But his mind is focused on one thing: Rose. He can't leave without her—not when there's a chance she could be captured.
"I can't let them take her," he thinks, his heart pounding as he barrels through another group of heroes. "Not her." His growing feelings for Rose are the only thing driving him forward, pushing him to fight harder and faster than ever.
Bakugo reaches her room just as a hero kicks the door in. Without thinking, he launches himself at the hero, blasting him away from the door with a powerful explosion. "Get the hell away from her!" he snarls, his voice filled with fury.
Rose, startled awake by the noise, stumbles to her feet, her mind racing as she tries to process what's happening, the aftereffects of her quirk having taken over. "Bakugo?"
Bakugo turns to her, his expression fierce but filled with a strange sense of relief. "Come on. We need to go."
She looks at him, her heart racing as she realizes how close she came to being captured. "He came back for me," she thinks, the weight of his decision hitting her all at once. "He didn't leave."
Without another word, Bakugo grabs her hand, pulling her toward the door. "Let's move."
At the contact of her hand in his, she activates her quirk, needing his energy to briefly overcome the aftereffects of giving Kaminari her energy and needing to aid Bakugo in their escape.
Bakugo and Rose fight their way out of the hideout, explosions and energy bursts lighting up the night as they take down the remaining heroes. The intensity of the battle only strengthens their connection, their movements perfectly in sync as they escape together.
As they break freefrom the hideout, Bakugo tightens his grip on Rose's hand, his mind racing."I couldn't leave her," he thinks, his feelings for herbecoming harder and harder to ignore. "I can't lose her."
