After stitching up Rose's wound and making sure she's as comfortable as possible, Bakugo steps out of the small medical area, his face tense but composed. He walks back toward the group, who are gathered near the front of the jet, sitting in silence as the reality of their situation sinks in.
He wipes his hands on a towel, his mind racing. "She's stable for now." But his heart still pounds with the weight of everything that just happened. He takes a deep breath and faces the group. "Catch me up," he orders, his voice gruff but quieter than usual. "What the hell have you all been up to since I got locked up?"
Kaminari, Kirishima, and Sero exchange glances, then shrug as if the answer is obvious.
"We were planning on busting you out, man," Kaminari says with a weak grin, trying to keep the mood light. "Pretty much all we focused on."
"Yeah," Kirishima adds, his voice more serious. "And... it wasn't easy without you. Rose was a mess. You should've seen her."
Sero nods, his eyes flicking toward where Rose is resting. "She tried to keep it together, but it was hard for her. Her quirk... it was all over the place. She was violent during the missions. Almost lost herself a couple of times."
Bakugo's brow furrows as he processes what the group is saying. "So, she was falling apart without me." He feels a strange mixture of frustration and concern, but he pushes it aside for now. There's a bigger issue to focus on.
"And what's the plan now?" he asks, his eyes narrowing. He glances at the bag of clothes that she packed for him, realizing he still hasn't changed out of the prison uniform. "Where the hell are we headed?"
Kaminari opens his mouth to respond, but then closes it again, exchanging uncertain glances with Kirishima and Sero.
"Uh... all we know is Spain," Kaminari admits sheepishly. "Rosalia said we're going to Spain. But... she didn't tell us the rest of the plan."
Bakugo stops in his tracks, a flicker of realization crossing his face. "Spain," he mutters, almost to himself. His mind starts racing. "Why Spain? What's waiting for us there?"
The more Bakugo thinks about it, the more questions start swirling in his mind. Why Spain? How had Rosalia managed to get a jet, of all things? When did she learn how to fly it? He realizes again, with a sinking feeling, that despite dating her, he knows almost nothing about her past.
He clenches his fists, his frustration mounting. "I've been with her for almost a year, and I still don't know half of who she is." His thoughts flash back to the three words she whispered to him in the car. "I love you." The realization hits him like a punch to the gut. "She loves me... and I..."
His chest tightens as he acknowledges what's been building inside him all along. "I love her too." But that only makes the uncertainty about her past feel heavier.
"She's hidingsomething. She's always been hiding something. But why Spain? What the hell'sin Spain?" His mind races with the possibilities, but nothing adds up.He glances toward where Rosalia is resting, a mix of emotions swirling insidehim. "I need answers. But first, we need to get the hell out of here."
