The morning light filters into the room, but the tension between Bakugo and Rose is palpable. Bakugo paces, his usual confident demeanor replaced by a storm of emotions he can't quite control. She sits on the edge of the bed, watching him with concern, sensing that something is bothering him beyond just Diego's behavior.

Bakugo clenches his fists, frustration simmering beneath the surface. He's never been good with emotions—especially the vulnerable kind. He glances at her, knowing that she's waiting for him to say something, but the words are stuck in his throat. "That guy, Diego..." he starts, his voice low and harsh. "I don't trust him."

Rose nods, understanding the weight behind his words. "I know," she says softly. "But I shut him down, Katsuki. I'm with you."

"I know you're with me," Bakugo snaps, more out of frustration with himself than her. His fists tighten as he stops pacing, turning to face her. "But it's not just him. It's your cousin, it's your family... it's this whole situation." He runs a hand through his hair, clearly struggling to keep his emotions in check.

"I don't like this," Bakugo admits, his voice sharp. "I don't like feeling like I could lose you—like your cousin could just take you away." He takes a breath, his eyes burning with frustration. He wants to say more, but the vulnerability that comes with saying those words feels like too much.

Rose watches him, feeling the weight of his struggle. She knows how hard it is for him to open up like this, to show any kind of vulnerability. She wants to comfort him, but she waits, giving him the space to say what he needs to.

Bakugo's fists loosen slightly, and he forces the words out, each one like a punch to his gut. "I don't... want to stay here. I don't want to be around your family when I feel like your cousin can just take you away from me." His voice lowers, almost as if he's afraid to admit it. "I... I'm scared, Rosalia. Scared he's gonna use you against me."

He pauses, his breath hitching as he forces himself to face the truth of his feelings. The words "I love you" linger on his tongue, but he hesitates, unsure if he's ready to say them aloud yet.

After a long pause, Bakugo sighs deeply, the tension in his shoulders relaxing just a little. "Your cousin, Rio..." he starts, his voice quieter now. "He told me you wouldn't be allowed to leave again. He said he wouldn't let you go."

Rose's heart skips a beat. She had sensed that something was bothering Bakugo, but this... this was bigger than she had expected. She stays silent, absorbing his words, knowing how much it must have hurt him to hear that.

Bakugo's frustration flares again as he speaks. "It pisses me off, Rosalia. The idea that he thinks he can just... take you. Like you're some weapon he can control. I don't know what to do. I don't want to stay around here and let him decide when he's ready to take you away from me."

Rose takes a deep breath, her mind swirling with thoughts. She had always known that her family wouldn't let her leave easily, but hearing it from Bakugo made it feel more real. She reaches out, gently placing her hand on his arm. "I'll follow you, Katsuki," she says softly, her voice steady but tinged with a hint of sadness. "If you want to leave, I'll go with you. I won't let them take me away from you."

But even as she speaks, there's a turmoil brewing inside her. She can't ignore the weight of her family—Rio, Grandma, the ties that bind her to this life. Leaving again... what would that mean for them?

"Could I really leave them behind again?" The question haunts her, but she pushes it down, knowing that for now, Bakugo needs her reassurance.

Bakugo lets out a long breath, the tension easing slightly as he feels her hand on his arm. Her words soothe some of his fears, but the anger and frustration still simmer beneath the surface. "I don't want you stuck between me and your family," he says, his voice quieter now. "But I also can't lose you, Rosalia. Not after everything."

Rose nods, her heart aching at the raw emotion in his voice. "You won't lose me," she whispers. "I promise."

But as they share a moment of quiet understanding, the weight of their unresolved struggles lingers in the air—Bakugo's fear of losing her, and her fear of betraying her family again.
