AN: THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! Anyway depending on how you guys interact with this will determine if I break down and finally write a Nika story cause I lowkey have an idea but I also have an idea for Hailey Van Lith so we'll see.

2024 Draft Night

"Twin!" Paige exclaims as she falls onto the seat beside Nika who was scrolling on her phone. Paige pouts as she rests her chin on Nika's shoulder, "Why aren't you drinking?"

"I did drink," Nika says.

"Why did you stop?" Paige asks.

Nika laughs, "Maybe because I want to remember this night?"

"Boo," Paige says as she looks at Nika's phone screen to see that she was on Instagram, "Hey is that Kate's girl?"

"Jessica," Nika says, "And it is. I decided to do some stalking."

Paige looks at the screen, "And?"

"She went to UNC. She's really cute," Nika says with a smile.

"You're taken, Miss. Mühl," Paige teases.

"I'm just observing," Nika says casually, "Do you think she likes girls?"

"Obviously she does," Paige responds, "But she's Kate's girl."

"No, she's covering Caitlin but clearly her and Caitlin don't get along and Kate probably is just the bridge between the two of them," Nika says, "I think you should shoot your shot with Jessica."

Paige takes the phone from Nika and scrolls through Jessica's Instagram. She tilts her head as she looks at Jessica. She gives a nod of approval as she looks at a selfie and shows it to Nika, "I feel like I know her from somewhere. But she's seriously beautiful. This is a face that men would go to war for."

"Hell I'd go to war for her," Nika says, as she holds her hand out, "Give me the phone, I have to like all of her pictures."

"You have a boyfriend!" Paige exclaims.

"I can look!" Nika says, "And I am. Respectfully."

Paige rolls her eyes with a smile. Nika goes to like Jessica's pictures when she notices a new post on Jessica's Instagram. She taps on it and her jaw drops as she nudges Paige and tilts the screen in Paige's direction. The blonde looks at the screen and then at Nika.

The picture was of Kate and Jessica sitting side by side, Jessica was tucked into Kate's side and Kate had her arm around Jessica's shoulder. They were cheek to cheek wearing wide smiles and Jessica's hand sat comfortably on Kate's thigh. The picture looked extremely coupley. They might as well have said mine in all caps.

"I guess that is Kate's girl," Paige mutters.

"My heart just broke a little," Nika says shaking her head.

"You have a boyfriend," Paige reminds Nika for the third time that night.

"Yeah, but for a split second I was in love," Nika says with a pout.

Paige laughs, "Shut the fuck up bro."

Nika laughs and shakes her head as she likes the picture of Kate and Jessica before swiping out of Instagram.

"What are you two losers doing?" Azzi asks as she comes over, Aaliyah trailing behind her.

"Nika just got her heart broken. Jessica and Kate just hard launched," Paige teases.
