Media Day came late for the Aces, but it came, nonetheless. Jessica was honestly super hyped for it because – well she had once been a reporter and loved doing things in front of a camera so being forced to shoot a bunch of videos for fan engagement was heaven for her.

And oftentimes whatever was heaven for Jessica Williams was hell for Jacquelyn Young.

To combat Jackie's misery and to calm Jessica's excitement, the two had been paired together for media day, allowing everyone to see what Jackie and Jessica were like. They'd seen glimpses, an overexcited Jessica running over to Jackie to high-five her after a great play. Quiet praise from Jackie, giving Jessica a pat on the back. They'd seen them talk in quiet whispers which quickly turned into loud laughs on Jessica's part. But those interactions weren't enough, the people needed more.

And the people were mainly just Kelsey and A'ja and sometimes Kate who teetered the line of curiosity and maybe jealousy. Kate simply believed she wanted to be Jessica's favorite ex on the team, and she was jealous that Jess and Jackie seemed to be – vibing? Was that the word for it?

"I'm thinking of getting a puppy," Jessica shares with Jackie as she is getting her hair fixed to be in front of the camera.

"Goldendoodle?" Jackie asks looking up from her phone.

"Mhm," Jessica says, "And guess what? There's one at the shelter so I don't have to go to a breeder! Morality up ten!"

Jackie quirks a brow at Jessica and simply shakes her head, "Is it a boy or a girl?"

"Girl," Jessica says, "And she's brown! Like a little fried chicken wing."

Jackie laughs, "That's literally your dream dog."

"It is. And I think it's good timing since I'm not in a relationship, have no intention of being in one, but still would like to be loved and give love," Jessica says and Jackie nods along slowly to Jessica's words.

"Are you still naming her Lilo?" Jackie asks. Jessica was surprised that Jackie remembered the name of her imaginary dream dog after Lilo from Lilo and Stitch.

"I am," Jessica says.

"That's cute," Jackie tells her as she looks back at her phone.

"Thanks," Jessica responds.

"Are you going to take her to the old house?" Jackie asks. Jackie had been to the old house on several occasions. The first had been when she came to North Carolina on one of the many weekends that they spent together in college. She'd met Jessica's parents that night in what went down as one of the most awkward dinners of freshly divorced parents ever.

"Actually, we sold it last fall," Jessica says, "This really cute couple bought it. They have two kids and they're fostering another one. They were nice and they were actually huge basketball fans so it kind of felt like fate. Morality up twenty."

Jackie laughs, "What's with you and this morality thing?"

"Oh, like whenever I do something good for the people morality increases. So, by adopting and not shopping morality up ten. Selling my beautiful childhood home to a beautiful family is morality up twenty."

"So, everything is measured by ten points?" Jackie asks.

"Mhm," Jessica says with a smile.

Jackie shakes her head amused, "You're so stupid."

"I'm just really excited about today's events," Jessica says. She'd already had her hair and makeup done and was ready to start filming. She had already taken her headshots which looked amazing. She'd straightened her hair for the picture but would wash it and let her curls return for the game against Seattle.
