Patrick:

Jesus, she was beautiful.

I mean she was always beautiful, but she truly looked like an angel. Her white dress was shorter than I would have expected, her bright red hair was perfectly styled, her eyes were all glittery which was doing things to me, and my favourite part was definitely her worn out white converse.

"You look..." beautiful, gorgeous, ethereal, stunning, "good." She blushed.

"You do too." I was wearing a rugby kit, the lads and I were going as the current Irish team.

I opened the back door for Katie, my Mam had ordered me to, not that I didn't want to, I just thought it might seem a little too romantic. "Thanks" she said taking my hand to avoid colliding with the car door with her wings and halo.

"Wow Katie, you look stunning!" My mother said as I was getting back into the passenger seat.

"Thanks" she was of course blushing, she was somewhat of perpetual blusher.

"You two excited for the party?" we both nodded, we spent the rest of the car ride in comfortable silence. That was one of my favourite things about Katie, silence was never awkward with her, I never felt the need to fill it. She was comfortable with the silence.

When we arrived at Hugh and Claire's house, I once again opened the door for Katie, and was once again blown away by her beauty.

"What a gentleman" Gibsie said pulling me out of my Katie induced trance.

"Woah, Katie you look good, a very fitting costume" he walked over and gave her a side hug "Our little angel."

"Hi Gibs, Happy Halloween." Gibsie smiled at her. "I thought you were all going as rugby players?"

"That was the plan, but Claire Bear had different plans so I am now Prince Charming."

"Is Claire Cinderella?" Gibsie nods and smiles from ear to ear. "That's so cute!"

Katie and Gibsie continue talking as we enter the party and greet Hugh and the others.
