| Y/N's POV |
a/n: almost every main character will be making a beautiful speech, so maybe grab tissues in case you cry, and lemme know which one is your favorite !!
(not proofread)"Have I told you how beautiful you look?" Jenna whispered in my ear for the hundredth time tonight. Ever since we set foot in the tent, that's all she's been telling me. I could feel my face heat up again.
"You look equally as beautiful. I love the suit, baby." I smiled softly and kissed her lips. Jenna's smile was as bright as the sun, possibly brighter. "I can't believe we're married."
We both glanced down at the rings decorating our finger. Jenna grabbed my hand, kissing it softly. She wrapped her arm around my waist. "It's amazing. Now, shall we go sit down before they start the speeches without us?"
"We shall." I laughed softly, letting my wife drag me to our designated table.
Everyone was talking amongst themselves until Billie stepped up to the mic and tapped it, clinking a spoon against her champagne glass. Natalie walked over to us, placing Juno in my lap. Our daughter grinned up at us toothlessly, her hands matching onto our hands. Jenna's eyes softened.
I leaned my head on her shoulder as Billie gained everyone's attention. "Everyone! I'd like to make a toast before I get too overly drunk." We all laughed and my best friend cleared her throat, grabbing a paper from the back pocket of her pants.
"I remember the time we would wish as little kids for someone to love us unconditionally as ourselves and our flaws. You used to say that if we didn't find a husband or a wife - which you stupidly would add in there because you always had a feeling about me - but if we didn't find a partner to marry by the age of 30, we'd marry each other. And now here we are at the ripe age of 23 years old, me newly engaged and you newly married. I couldn't envision anyone more perfect for you than Jenna. She's the dream person you'd always draw in my bedroom or fantasize about or sing about wanting to marry. And now finally have her and I finally have mine. Throughout all of our struggles, pain, and experiences together, we've topped everything by bouncing back stronger than ever. If I were to imagine my life without you, I probably wouldn't even be here in the first place. You are one the biggest influences in my life, always inspiring me to keep moving forward. To always be myself. To never listen to the negative things people may say, but most importantly, to be the best person I can be. When we were 8, we made a giant mess in the kitchen by spilling flour everywhere while my mom cooked. We just giggled for hours about it while Finneas cleaned it up since he was older. Times like those - stupid times - make me think of the memories I've made with you and now, as you have your one year old daughter, Juno, now with your amazing wife, Jenna, I think about all the new memories you'll make with them just like we did as kids. And so, to end this long ass rant, I wish you a fucking happy life filled with endless amount of fucking love because I love you to death, you son of a bitch!"
I wiped the tears that fell down my cheeks, they wouldn't stop if I was being honest. I sniffled and handed Juno to Jenna, standing up to meet Billie halfway for a hug. I rested my chin on her shoulder, briefly closing my eyes to soak in the moment. Then, I turned to her ear and whispered, "thank you, Billie. I love you too."
She pulled back and winked at me before dragging us to our table again. Billie high fived Liv, who then stood up to go to the mic next. I was not emotionally prepared for any of this.
"Y/N, Y/N, Y/N. I-" She laughed for a moment. "I can't believe I'm standing here today being your fucking bridesmaid at your wedding. As Billie said, I couldn't think of anyone better for you. Jenna is sweet and kind and I knew by the first day that those rumors of you two started going around, it would be a forever thing. Despite your troubles and arguments or fights, you overcame them easily to be here today with a beautiful daughter that you both created. I remember the day you confessed to me about the things going on at home. I was appalled and shocked, but mostly because a sweet girl with such a big heart was experiencing something she never deserved. I'd pray day and night about someone swooping in to save you from your mind, the same mind that destroyed you endlessly because of your traumas. And Jenna came along a few years later. The wait, I believe was all worth it. I see the way you look at Jenna; the radiant stars in your eyes, the glowing love. Jenna looks at you the exact same way and it melts my heart to see it. It melts my heart to finally know you're in wonderful hands, the same hands that I trust to keep my best friend safe till forever falls apart. So everyone if you would please raise your glasses to the newly weds, Jenna and Y/N Ortega."
